Stratford Station was a bit hectic today, not running the 86 meant everyone tried to use the wreck of a Train service known as the Abellio Greater Anglia There seems to be a full double decker service on the 396, yet no service on the 5 for some reason. There is still no 86 operating. The 362, W19 and EL1 seem to be operating out of BE today as well. The 158 and 257 were a joke at Stratford, I saw around 70 people try and board a 257. In other news, BW was a huge disappointment with the 8 and 15 not really running, a few 205s which all left service by 1630, BUT at least 15 277s in service throughout the day. Also BK seem to have decided that the 396 is more important than the 5 and 62. Also there were a lot of buses on the 115 compared to other routes. T didn't run anything. With Arriva, as far as I'm aware, DX had no buses running, while with AE, there wasn't really any 254, a couple of buses on the 106 and a few on the 78. CT Plus were running the 309 but not the 388 or 212 (at least in the morning). SI didn't run the D6 or D7, but ran a limited service on the D8. They also ran 276s only from Newham Hospital to Stratford. T did run the 48 earlier and they got a service on the 179 in the evening.

well if it goes on like this and nothing is done it will only get worse, for everybody, Yes and? Just because things might get worse is no reason why the Mayor, TfL or the bus companies will back down or change their stance. This is a very one sided dispute and the bus drivers aren't on the winning side IMO, regardless of the merits of their case. I'm not taking sides here - I'm merely reflecting on how I think things will go given what has happened up to this point. well we can only wait and see then we will know who wins,

Most routes ran in Brixton but all buses were jammed packed - I felt sorry for anyone using the P4 as I watched 34557 get absolutely rammed at Brixton Station - the next stop, Brixton Police Station is quite a busy stop and I'm pretty sure it would not be stopping for anyone until Loughborough Junction. Brixton Underground Station this morning was rammed with crowds stretching along the high street - surely they could work out that escalator work has been ongoing since last year and that there are other alternative ways to reach Victoria and other places like the underused Brixton High Level Station.

And i bet those who had to work because they either chose to break ranks or not in the union or indeed the depots not in the dispute don't get a thanks. Especially as I'm sure most have been overloaded, abused and generally worked harder than normal.

There was no ticket acceptance for bus passengers on the NR network but there was on services where TfL take the revenue risk. No surprise that the tube would be hammered in those circumstances. The TOCs have no incentive to cooperate unless someone agrees to pay them a vast amount of money. TfL can to some extent "take the hit" because they can make an internal accounting transfer if necessary as they hold the revenue from bus and tram passes and will also penalise the bus operators for not operating contracted services. It's a bit of a shame that some ticket acceptance on NR couldn't have happened at off peak hours when the TOCs undoubtedly have the capacity to take extra passengers. That might have provided some relief in some places.

I don't think it's anything to do with the 396 being "more important" than the 5 or 62, they operated on a route where the 5 vehicles they were able to run would be more suitable. Five vehicles, although better than none, would have been completely swallowed up and lost on the 5. With a roughly 3 hour round trip that would equate to a 35 minute service on the 5 which would have been pretty pointless.

Looking at LVF seems no school routes ran in east London - would have thought some effort would have been made to maintain these services at garages where staff had signed on for (Assuming drivers knew the route) That's interesting. School routes still ran from TV today. In addition, they also had a few buses on the 131 too.

Credit to yourself for making this point and I applaud anyone who did work as it must of been hell at times.

IMO the 257 was the best route today and the W15 put in a good effort aswell.

Are we likely to see many more buses on the road this evening? what is the latest sign on time for drivers? I am guessing maybe a few night duties could start on routes like the 15 from 9pm ish The night drivers are on strike tonight so there may not be many N or 24hr routes operating at all
