Today TfL has launched a consultation on improving the Junction for the A406 / Brentfield Road and Drury Way. The changes will mean a new Southbound Bus Lane will allow buses (only, no coaches or cycles are permitted in this lane) continue ahead or turn right. Attachment DeletedSource: Transport for LondonIf the proposals go ahead buses will no longer need to circulate via Great Central Way and the Westbound A406. In the consultation it also says this: This quote would suggest why the 224 has been left out of the interest list... Finally, an extremely sensible consultation - all makes sense to me and should reduce journey times too. The 224 terminus change is good as well as the stand in the estate is inadequate IMO for two routes as some buses seem to avoid serving the stand like what happened to myself one time.

That seems like a sensible adjustment overall but 224 passengers wanting Tescos would take a wee while longer to get round. The fact is that TfL will make this change regardless of the consultation responses because of all of the investment in the road junction to create a bus priority lane southbound.

Well let's hope there's no people barricading the bus lane for this 224 propsal.

I think stopping arrangements at Mitchell Way could still be a challenge with the changes, but they will hopefully be better than what you've described above.

Finally! A proposal from TFL I like. Glad the s/b 206 and w/b 224 now can go on to Brentfield Road without having to negotiate the mammoth one way system, makes both routes much more direct. Regarding the 224, I personally would have prefered it to still terminate at St. Raphael's and double-run via Tesco as this saves e/b passengers the inconvenience of having to serve St. Raphael's before alighting at Tesco.
