Route 202 contract will be retained by London General Metrobus and is finally getting Double Deckers . Provisional date is 12th September 2015 as stated in londonbusroutes. Four of the MAN Enviros will be subsequently transferred to Route 246. Not too sure of what will happen to the great MAN MCVs.

As long as the Deckers are Not Existing B9TSnails otherwise such boring slow buses down Brownhill Road, the 202 is not exactly reliable these days so slow buses is the last thing it needs, the 171 is already boring and slow as it is. The 246 will need a Spare so 5 MCVs.

The award for the 246 stated Existing buses allocated to route 202.

I must of been lucky then - last two Friday's I used the 202 to Crystal Palace (one from Blackheath, Royal Standard & one from Blackheath Station) and they've turned up on time or slightly early. I will say they though that buses on the route bunch extremely often despite the fact that traffic on both days wasn't too bad. Anyway, those MAN MCV's are the ideal bus if your late and the 202 drivers aren't frightened of opening them up either.

Pleased to know the 202 will be fully double decker oprated. I personally hope the 202 receives brand new double deckers. Does anyone know yet what double deckers Metrobus/London General are planning to use on the 119 and 202?
