This is going to be the first Eclipse in London since 1999, are any of you looking forward to it? When this last happened I was only 5 months old.

Thanks for making me feel a old sod even thought I am 36 I remember the last one very well - there was much more hype for that one I think more because we was approaching the year 2000 so 99 felt a special year.

I was around 9 or 10 when the last one happened in 1999 and it was much bigger news back then. I can remember so much coverage on the TV regarding it. I don't usually do early morning wake ups but for this, I'll be making an exception especially as I'm likely to be dead when the next Eclipse happens (the way things are going, that could also apply to riding a Wright Eclipse single decker )

I was on Piccadilly at the time - unlike in '99 We couldn't see it as it was cloudy But it was much darker than usual - streetlights came on etc

Just saw this thread now, When the eclipse was occurring, we were taken out of maths to go see it, but we couldn't see a d*mn thing!! But i did notice it getting considerably darker and colder, but it looked like one of those times when it is about to rain really hard. I agree with the post above by Green Kitten and i'd say "I went out of a GCSE maths lesson for an eclipse nobody in London could bloody see?!"

I know if I was still at school, I wouldn't be moaning being taken out of my class lol.
