The day route and the night route are not identical yet the 102 is considered an ordinary 24-hours service. Why does the night service start/finish at Golders Green? I enjoy the 102 and consider it one of the best routes in London

I think it's because of the opposition from local residents along Pennine Drive, I know it's ridiculous.

Other night routes do reach Brent Cross Bus Station - 189 and 266 for example so the shopping centre isn't the issue. A few years back the bus station didn't open overnight so buses terminated short.
