I would gladly do this and deliver them straight to the door I don't know about this situation but the objections are usually regarding top deck passengers looking over walls and hedges etc, so curtains wouldn't really help I don't see why you'd need to have so much privacy unless your working for the mi5 or something. People should learn not to be selfish.

People should learn not to be selfish. Totally agree. I mean the argument these residents make is double deckers present a good opportunity for burglars to get a good look in their house - I mean seriously, if you do get burgled, it won't be because someone was on a double decker going past your house!

What about the D8? I noticed a WVL 4XX going out of service at Canning Town the other night its blinds scrolled through all the routes, I was surprised these buses have D8 on them (Unless the Olympic bus plans were known as early as April 2011 when these buses entered service)
I am always surprised that they never included the D6 on the blinds especially as the route had very regular workings under First.

The D8 can no longer take double deckers with the re routing via Carpenters Road last autumn.

Based on the loadings I've seen on the D8 it could do with double decks at times. However Trident has beaten me to it to point out the route now has a height restriction on it but I suspect that it could go back to its old route if required.

I certainly agree with the 289, had so many overloaded journeys at different times on this route.

Routes E10 and 318 Seriously though, the 235 is always packed so could do with double decking I'm sure the residents of North Brentford Quarter would appreciate it (though am sure most of them wait for a 65 to take them towards South Ealing for the tube). The E8 seemed to be mostly DD in the daytime, using the TP's, more single deck workings after the rush hour has died down in the evening.

Until recently I would have suggested the 232, the frequency increase seems to have just about made things tolerable. Mostly. Could still use them on Sundays though.

They shouldn't have a problem there physically - there is no height restriction and the road into the North Brentford Quarter development isn't too narrow.

I certainly agree with the 289, had so many overloaded journeys at different times on this route. The 289 also deserves a frequency increase. Seems ridiculous that double deckers weren't specified on the X26 when QL took over. Other candidates which may have already been mentioned 80,200 and 407

I think the X26 should get artics, as dds+many people with luggage doesn't always work out. However I wouldn't see my idea happening with Boris Johnson as Mayor.

Seems ridiculous that double deckers weren't specified on the X26 when QL took over. As far as I'd know, the X26 luggage racks would've been the main problem, along with people not wanting to leave their luggage out of sight. And DDA (thus shorter dds may not work even with luggage racks due to a lack of non-step seats)? Then again, 12m full sized double deckers with luggage racks at the front and one door may work. Or just increase the frequency! Or even put what my avatar is! (an articulated Citaro)
