If this is about getting a night bus to Watford, why has no one suggested an N18 extension from Harrow weal via the 258 It wouldn't connect into any of the 24 hour tube lines outside zone 1 so you would be stuck with the bus the whole way. Also a good 15 minutes slower than a route heading via Edgware (e.g. the early Fri/Sat night N18 journeys take 78 minutes to get to Harrow Weald, fastest early/late 258 trips take 22 minutes from Harrow Weald to Watford Junction. 100 minutes is really pushing it if that is the only option on the table for getting back to Watford. Could be worth looking at again if the Met/Bakerloo go 24 hour.) I have to agree with you there, I personally think the N16 would be the best option and I know the N18 would be considerably longer, it was just a suggestion.

If you say Watford should have nite bus what about Borehamwood area? Very populous it could do with something. I know the Thameslink service runs 24 hours but as im constantly being told not every1 can afford to go by rail though it is in Zone 6.mayb N292? Or perhaps extend the Fri/Sat night 307 to Edgware via the 107 route? Or in a nod to history you could extend the 107 over the 307 on Friday/Saturday nights!....

Nice idea about an N132 but while they are at it the evening service needs increasing to at least every 15 mins, I'm currently on one now which left NG full and standing

Just musing - I've never used the route at night so don't know one way or the other. From what I've seen today I think Sunday frequencies on some routes on bank holidays are a joke. More capacity needed.

More capacity needed. Was thinking the same thing today. There must be very little difference between Saturday loadings and bank holiday loadings. Shops open for similar length of time and probably more people out and about. I thought higher rate of pay could be a restraint, but I asked an Arriva driver about bank holiday pay and he replied it was a flat rate. They apparently only get enhanced pay Boxing Day.

I live in Tottenham and work in Ealing 45 mins by tube neither of these areas need more nite buses tho 123 is long overdue. Not sure about E1 N92 would be more useful Ealing Hospital/ Wembley.extension of N7 to Ruislip is good idea.

Right well that's my consultation response submitted on the Night Bus changes. I guess the alert siren has gone off inside Palestra - oh no not another set of comments from *him*! Don't forget you've got about 3 days to submit your response before the consultation closes.

www.arrivabus.co.uk/new-thameside-times?tax=69391 New Night Service From Sunday 09th August. Due to the popularity of the early morning and late night Service 480/490 buses, extra buses in the middle of the night will mean that the service will be running twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, with a two-hourly frequency during the middle of the night between Dartford, Bluewater, Gravesend and Valley Drive. - See more at: www.arrivabus.co.uk/new-thameside-times?tax=69391#sthash.qTQnf40L.dpufCalls For 96 To Run At Night as Arriva are Running an, All Night Service On Routes 480/ 490 From Gravesend To Dartford.

Just looking again at the night bus maps provided to show the proposed new weekend routes. On the East London map TfL have got themselves in a complete pickle as to the relationship of the 123 and 34 in the Edmonton / Wood Green area. The map shows the 123 crossing the 34 somewhere near Arnos Grove / Bruce Grove whereas the reality is that they never cross in that bit of London (only at the bell corner in E17). How daft. consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/night-bus-review/user_uploads/night-bus-all-maps.pdfWas wondering if there was any update on the consultation as we must be perilously close to schedules needing to be agreed with the unions and posted at garages assuming a 12 Sept 2015 start date. Nothing showing on the consultation page but TfL and the operators really must be running out of time to meet a 12 Sept deadline which rather suggests we're in for a mad panic introduction with no changes allowed to the proposals.

I would imagine tfl went to consultation with all the proposed changes going ahead and schedules etc would have been worked out already

So with a second tube strike on the horizon, no obvious way forward in terms of reaching a settlement over rosters and pay do we think the associated Night Bus changes will happen on 12 September? I think it's now too late for them to happen and I can't see TfL introducing changes when there is no night tube service in place. I wonder if we will even get the Night Tube running by Christmas time given Boris has downplayed there being any fixed date by which the Night Tube service has to be introduced.

Not Boris bashing BUT this will me a major egg on face moment for him - all the hype since almost a year ago + all the printed publicity. Such a shame as this is something long overdue

Hmm, I wonder if they will introduce the changes with the 199, N47/N199, 47, 222 and 238 as these should be useful with or without night tube. But I do agree with your point and neither side seems to be backing down. Unless a decent offer is given to the unions I am starting to wonder if this will happen at all.

The 47 was awarded as a 24 Hour Route on Contract so I see no reason why the N199 won't be introduced. I imagine a lot of people support the idea, because the N47 is quite a busy service & Shoreditch need additional Night Services.
