Just to say that the Mayor let slip during a BBC London news interview that the annual fares announcement is due this Thursday. He was being a tad coy, more than you might expect, so I think there may be a surprise coming along. My "hunch" is that he will nick the "one hour bus ticket" idea and launch that in the New Year so as to spike the Mayoral campaigns of political opponents. I know he isn't standing but it'd be a classic move and hands Zac Goldsmith a nice "we're looking after poorer Londoners and bus users" campaign line without Zac having to do anything.
When we get to Thursday I'll aim to add some more details of whatever is announced.

A very modest package this time round. Changes apply from 2 Jan 2016. Bus PAYG fare frozen at £1.50. Daily cap goes to £4.50, up 10p TfL tube, DLR and Overground PAYG fares frozen except for the Z1 and Z12 fare which rise 10p. Cash fares rise by 10p in most cases. On the former West Anglia routes cash fares and point to point season tickets will rise. The PAYG fares to Liverpool St (NR) are frozen. NR PAYG fares go up 10p. PAYG through fares for TfL / NR journeys also rise by 10p One Day Caps and Travelcards go up by 10p although the Z16 All Day Travelcard goes up 20p to £17.20. Children under 11 gain free travel on National Rail services run by all TOCs in Greater London. Previously only TfL contracted services offered this benefit. Note this applies for children who hold Zip cards. The TOCs are not adopting the "accompanied children travel free" rule that TfL use. Travelcard seasons go up by 0.9% on average. There is no change to season ticket multipliers. TfL are also adjusted the daily caps for Zones 7-9 which are reduced to match the 1/5th of the weekly price ratio that was introduced for Zones 1-6 last year. To fund this most PAYG fares for trips involving zones 7-9 rise by 10p. Stratford, Stratford International and Stratford High Street move from Zone 3 to Zone 2/3. This change was signed off by the Mayor many months ago. However there has been a tweak to the proposal meaning that Star Lane, Abbey Road, West Ham and Canning Town also move to be Z23 stations. This makes far more sense than the original proposal and effectively reduces fares for a large number of people. Mayoral Decision document

TfL have updated their on line info about the Fares Revision. Unfortunately the new fares tables only have Caps and Travelcard prices and not fares at this stage. tfl.gov.uk/campaign/new-fares?intcmp=34454The Single Fare Finder hasn't been updated to cover 2016 fares.
