TfL are considering introducing a new route 239 between Roehampton (Danebury Avenue) and Acton Vale, restructured from the 72 extras between Hammersmith and Roehampton, and going via the 266 to Acton Vale. The 72 PVR will likely return to what it once was before the extras...

This would help the 266 out on Askew Road section which would be welcome by many.

Interesting that West London is getting rather a lot of bus attention from TfL at the moment.

Would there be enough stand space at Roehampton? (Not local to the area)
I get the impression we'll see more of these type of proposals over the next couple of years.

Of the 72's PVR of 28, how many of them are Roehampton - Hammersmith extras?

Would there be enough stand space at Roehampton? (Not local to the area) I get the impression we'll see more of these type of proposals over the next couple of years. If I read this proposal correctly then the 239 will in effect be a projection of the 72 'shorts' from Hammersmith to Acton Vale. This should not lead then to any additional buses using the Bessborough Road stand on the Alton East Estate. TfL could consider terminating the 239 at the Danebury Avenue stand on the Alton West Estate so as to give people with mobility problems a more convenient service to Hammersmith.

That is the plan to terminate at Danebury avenue then allowing the 72 to go back to its old frequency.

This proposal would give Askew Road a better service as well as give new links to Ravenscourt Park.
I would hope for a frequency increase on the 72 at nights.
Regarding stand at Danebury, its been a while since I've been down there. Is there sufficient room ?
I like this proposal very much - hope either Tower Transit or London United run it.

Of the 72's PVR of 28, how many of them are Roehampton - Hammersmith extras? If I remember right, the PVR before extras on the 72 was 18, so if that's right, the extras' PVR is 10.
