What's the deal with the class 319 refurbishment, is it still going on? I ask because I've noticed quite a few units that look half done. And most curiously I've noticed ex-Southern units with the Interior as refurbished by Connex, but with a mix of different seats and floor. In addition to that, I haven't seen a 319 with the original interior since July. Either they're all evading me whenever I use Thameslink services, or those are slowly being refurbished too.

Aren't most of the 319s going to local services in Wales & the West Country when the electrification is done?

I dunno, probably. I think some more might be heading north to Northern Electric as well. At any rate, I think the ones that are here have got around 2 years left.

I thought the 319 would go on the GWML electrified services not covered by Crossrail e.g. Lines to Greenford and Oxford with the 165s and 166s being cascaded onto local services in Wales and the West Country replacing the class 143 Pacers and the Sprinters (150, 153 and 158).

No, the outer suburban Great Western are using new class 387 trains (29 sets are being used on Thameslink short term pending delivery of class 700), 8 more are new direct to GW. There are another 27 sets for Gatwick Express; and Leasing company Porterbrook has just ordered extra 80 cars (formation and user unknown to cover expected growth).

Just saw 319001 and 319003(?) working an 8 car formation from Sevenoaks, *with* the original interiors! There's still hope for some 319 interior photos. Is there a London Train Finder service by chance?

A few of the original class 319 subclass are in a similar state. But between the different subclasses are a number of different interiors.
There isnt AFAIK a train finder in the public domain, although in the(industrial) private domain, there are a few.
