A harder one would be same idea but only using one operator , I.e the 465 Dorking to Kingston, 111 Kingston to Heathrow ( ignoring pedant mode - owned by Ratp Dev)

I live at the top of the 253/254 'horseshoe'. I can get to Euston and then take an 18 to Sudbury or a 68 to West Norwood.. that's about as good as it gets from here. 279 to Waltham Cross then 310 to Hertford, however.. ?

I can get the 149 as my first bus which means I can go to pretty much most destinations south of the river. I once went from Putney via Clapham Junction back to Edmonton Green in rush hour. Took over 3 hours!

47 to Bellingham then 320 to Biggin Hill Valley. 188 to Russell Square then 91 to Crouch End. 199 to Bellingham then 208 to Orpington.
Night routes: N1 to Tottenham Court Road then N207 to Uxbridge N199 to Trafalgar Square then N9 to Heathrow T5.
*53, 453 & N89 on the other end can also get me to far places with one other route.

It's really interesting to see the vast distances that can be covered from one's local area by two buses only! Goes to show how incredible London's bus system really is...with a few exceptions obviously As an addition to my earlier post I'll also go against my thread rule of night buses not allowed, the furthest I can go at night is the 6 from Queen's Park to Trafalgar Square and the N47 to St. Mary Cray or the N89 to Slade Green. Alternatively, a little further on the 6 to Aldwych and the N68 to Old Coulsdon.

Some of the long journeys are really interesting, I wonder if there are regular users along the longer connecting journeys?
i.e Heathrow to Caterham-on-the-Hill or Wood Green to Watford Junction or Canning Town to Edmonton Green.
Could there be people that need these connections in order to make long distance bus journeys?
