I saw that the buses were diverted away from the north side bus station a couple of hours ago and now the Central Line is suspended through the area for the remainder of the night!

Bit close for comfort was in E17 today Without sounding insensitive is it really necessary to close the Central Line why not run non stop through the station ?

Because the station itself is being treated as a crime scene. Where the Forensics have to conceal all areas to retain all evidence. Plus an incident could have taken place on the train, not just the booking office concourse and link subway.
