Tomorrow (Friday) is likely to be the end of a batch of contenders for oldest single deck bus Will it be last day of Marshall Darts ? Last day of GoAhead operated 193 Today has included 51reg LDP191, LDP198 02reg 142, DMN9, DMN11 How much longer will LDPs survive on B16 ? Think all the other 51reg have gone now, even Sullivan’s ELV6 appears to have stopped fortnight ago. Where I live, well away from TfL land, we've had one Marshall Dart that was supposed to get withdrawn about four years ago, and yet still survives, admittedly sometimes not seeing service for weeks at a time.

The DMN’s at RR should go once the 193 is lost - they’re not in great condition either and I suspect the two ED’s left will also go. Having seem some of them today I think that win's "understatement of the day" award. The DMNs could come back to NP as W10 spares

Indeed, I remember riding DMN10 and hearing the driver chatting to another about how it could blow up at some point - the driver restarted it and it sounded horrendous for the rest of the journey DMN8 has certainly met it's end as I've seen a video on Facebook of it being towed away for scrap - the rear was abovery *friendly* personely filthy too

The RR ones are arguably already not needed but the ones at BX will survive until the B11 gets cut back from Thamesmead. The DMN’s at RR should go once the 193 is lost - they’re not in great condition either and I suspect the two ED’s left will also go. So you are thinking some 17 year old LDPs could survive on B16 until B11 contract change in January And general view is today could be last day of Marshall Darts in London unless a straggler is kept as an extra spare somewhere Cannot be many other Esteems left in London either

For Dart Esteems, with 231 and 232's departure, only Uno's spare 511 remains.
Scania and MAN Esteems are now extinct.
As for SOEs, all 40 examples are still here.

LDP194 is officially the oldest bus in London with ELV6 being close behind it.

As for duble decks the VPLs at HT? Nope, the oldest double deck is ELV6 of Sullivan Buses as already stated a few posts above.
