Right, I'm planning to recreate a trip from an article I read about in Classic Bus magazine from 93/94 entitled 'Once I was a rover' which the author undertook in the 1970s. obviously things have changed a lot since then but I've been planning to do it for a while and I'm starting on Monday for the first leg, trying to be faithful to the authors journey. I'm starting at Twickenham and working my way round to Chingford using routes 110,111,81,U3,350,U5,U1,114,340,221,299,125,329,313.
I'll be keeping a log of the journey to keep you updated.

Have fun. I've done a few mega bus journeys in my time, especially when I was much younger. When I circumnavigated London by bus, I slightly cheated and got an X80 through the Dartford Tunnel, so that I did East London justice. I have the articles you mention in Classic Bus, blakey1983. Worth searching down and reading if you haven't, forum.
