At Wickford I saw a 12 car train arrive and everyone had to then go to the front 8 carriages for stations to Southminster. The train then left, with the last 4 cars attached. Bar one station, I believe stations on the line can take 12 car trains. Does anyone know why this occurs?

Might be an issue with the Selective Door Operation (SDO) equipment on the train which meant the doors in the rear unit could not be "locked" at stations that can only take 8 carriages.

I'll add "SDO" is the name of the equipment we have on the DLR, it might be called something different on the 'big railway'
