youtu.be/7JYOIQcGUV8If you are keeping up to date with my S Stock development, then you will be pleased to hear that I have released a second version which has improved clearer audio and more S Stock acceleration audio over 60mph. I would appreciate it if you give feedback on what to do next - really, I specialise in sound, not exteriors and interiors, so something like "Do Class 700" would prompt me to edit an existing train to include class 700 audio, not make a class 700 exterior. Download link is in description of video, you can run this train on other Hmmsim routes by changing the filename to the default one required by the desired route, so for example, central line - you would change filename to default filename, which is LT1992, I believe.

That's a very fast S stock - maybe when the voltage goes up to 750 it could achieve those pullaways!
I'll give you a rough couple of ideas - on a flat gradient, an S7 goes from 0-25 (mph) in full motors in it's own length. Slowing down, in max service brake it goes from 35-0 (mph) in it's own length too.
A good comparator is the BVE4 1995 stock - this handles quite a lot like an S7......however this is from memory as I haven't used BVE for years now. Googling the 1995 BVE4 train I'm on about, it seems it was released in 2005 - I remember downloading it from TrainSimCentral (probably long gone itself) so don't even know if this would be available now.
S7 and S8 did handle differently - the S8 did have a slower acceleration profile and a higher top speed, but these days the S8 is configured so it has the faster acceleration alongside the S7. S7's are 'capped' though, 42 mph max in normal running, and 47 mph with the 'flag up' on the outer sections where the speed is higher. Also the acceleration with 'flag up' is faster than usual as well. S8 is capable of 60 mph running (quite a chunk more than S7).......
