Just seen the bus, I have seen worse fire damage. It would be back on the road eventually.

I have heard that this bus caught on fire due to the driver "error". It was not the bus. It was one of the many agency drivers that CT Plus seems to be getting. The driver took the bus out the yard with low coolant (water) and buzzer going off. It went to Hackney Wick, started, reached Waterloo and other drivers apparently saw the bus told the agency driver that it is too hot from the heat around it as it overheated. The driver then still took the bus in service to go back to Hackney Wick with now the bus smoking the driver still did not stop, then engine bay temperature warnings came on, plus fire alert (the driver still continued!!!!) the ultimately the bus was engulfed in flames (no surprise). The driver has been fired from the agency company. I personally hope an idiot like that is NEVER allowed to drive a bus again.
