If I remember correctly this was the same bus from 2001 that either suffered an arson attack upstairs on the 118 or had gotten its roof damaged on Magdalen Road*, Earlsfield whilst on the 77. PVL205 was the other Merton bus at the time that got damaged but I forgot which bus was with which incident.
* - driver was meant to turn into Earlsfield Road which is the next Junction (after the railway bridge)

Off to bus heaven now most likely!

Agree that the driver should have seen this coming, but I really think they should think about lowering the road under the bridge by about a foot or so which would allow dd's on the H37, and solve the RRS problem.

Fook me!
AS soon as you see an arched bridge, you should be double checking your height.

Or be observant and read Road signs that clearly state the low bridge!!!

Oh no . I was around this area today and at one point was considering getting a railway replacement bus. Hopefully nobody was injured.

LBC were reporting it all morning as an H37 bus... I was very suspicious #lazyreporting #getyourfactsright Even though it mentions LOW BRIDGE I am surprised the driver just ignored it... could have just followed the 281 through Hounslow and Whitton instead
