I think it may do good to extend the 533 to Roehampton to provide that Roheampton-Bridge link. Sending the 72 via Putney Bridge is a good shout, preferably using double deckers as the 220 carries crush loads between Putney and Hammersmith now, it could really do with the 72's support Would the reintroduction of the old 85A, suitably tweaked at the Roehampton end and extended from Putney Bridge Station to Hammersmith be of any use? It certainly wouldn't do any harm, and would be quite useful for Roehmapton. However, rerouting the 72 via Putney Bridge would do a better job at restoring lost connections to Roehampton, and would reinstate the Shepherd's Bush link.

Or reroute the 430 to run from Roehampton to Hammersmith instead of South Kensington. It amazes me that the long duplication of the 74 and 430 can be allowed to continue when the 220 is packed to the rafters.
Optional extension of route 190 from West Brompton to South Kensington to cover Old Brompton Road and terminate somewhere more useful.

The thing is it is not a TfL proposal!

With two weeks to go before the latest changes yellow signs have gone up on stops in Putney saying the 209 will be no more use route 378 instead. No suggestion of a reduction in frequency or that it is a new route! The signs cover the 209 timetables which were the only new timetables put up in the area when the 265 gained a doubling of service to Roehampton and two night buses were introduced. We are still waiting for those timetables to appear. Confusingly I have now discovered that someone has bothered to put the N33 and N72 timetables at stops on at least part of Fulham Palace Road but they remain missing from Lower Richmond Road in Putney. Around 01.00 this morning I finally saw an N33. Unfortunately it was showing 33 Hammersmith so could have confused late night travellers into assuming the bus took the daytime route to Hammersmith Bridge via Barnes as those buses still sometimes mark themselves as Hammersmith bound. Finally N33 timetables have gone up on the other stops.

So the 419 is being extended to Roehampton, Bessborough Road from 28th September 2019 and will require 7 additional buses

A copy of the notice to staff was posted by galwhv69 over in the RATP thread for those wishing to see it. I think that this is a sensible move, but I'd guess that this spells the end - at least for now - of the plan to merge the 419 with the 110, which was obviously intended to terminate at Hammersmith. The RATP staff notice suggests that the company is planning for the 419 to remain a standalone route; if TfL still intended to merge the two routes before the bridge reopens, it would surely make sense to do this at the same time as extending the 419 to Roehampton.

So the 419 is being extended to Roehampton, Bessborough Road from 28th September 2019 and will require 7 additional buses Does that mean the 110 will be extended to Roehampton once it’s merged with the 419 or is that merger going to scrapped?

Any idea what the frequency will be for the 419?

Technically it's a diversion as I'm guessing it will divert at Rocks Lane away from Barnes Pond.
7 additional buses seem like a freq increase aswell. The Bride down to Bessborough Road is about 15 mins on from the junction of Rocks Lane/Barnes Pond which I'd have thought would require about 4 extra buses. I wonder if the 265 shorts be discontinued?

I noticed today that the 209s are staying "209 to..." with the screen showing Castelnau, Lonsdale Road. I do think Hammersmith bridge is a better description for the 33/209/485 for all intents and purposes the routes still go to Hammersmith except that they have to cut slightly short but atleast having the word Hammersmith in the derivation makes people aware of it.

I’ve noticed this too when I went on the 209 yesterday while under ML.

Yeah noticed this as well today. It has to be said if you didn't really know the area it can be very confusing especially the 33, you get some buses displaying Hammersmith, others displaying Hammersmith Bridge and on on the windscreen paper blinds saying castelnau. The Ibus says Caselnau. On another note I finally saw a 419 was displaying Barnes Pond today it was DE20062, I'm guessing this bus would already of had it on the blind set.
