Question why does the 183 still have split allocation between BT and SO? With the 114 surely BT has enough space to have the whole allocation? Isn't the 183 due to move back now (if it hasn't already today)? I think someone mentioned this a few pages back. Some more duties and buses will be moving to BT soon. And remember H14 drivers have not been type trained on the VLEs or SPs so dont expect a DD working soon on the H14

I remember reading somewhere a while ago that BYD were working on a bus with a extended range before recharge and that it would be trialled in London. So a educated guess that this is it. Yes I also remember same thing. Also remember that when the BYD-ADL electric bus was launched about year ago, it was announced as a 10 year partnership with at least 200 buses per year. Since been announced that a short (about 10.6m) version of the buses being built for 507 & 521 is being launched in September I wonder if this partnership has a new logo, which is why they are taped over in plastic pending official launch. We also know at least 34 buses are being ordered with green bus fund money (exact number unknown as TfL often tops up these awards by ordering appropriate number for a route), clearly funds will cover 2 routes as no single deck routes with PVR of 30+ in central London I believe it is the normal BYD round logo That bus above looks like EB1 and EB2 though. Could this be why the ADL/BYD buses are starting from SEe3 etc?

A pic of SEe10 being delivered down the M1 has surfaced flic.kr/p/L4wjkh - Credit to BusesinLondon Seems they are driven down to London after all and not on a truck. Talking of this, does anyone know if RA has been equipped to charge 50 odd buses at once? That could also be a contributor in the delay Including my dodgy video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u7tekYKhhcUmm, SEe3 to 12 have been registered on LVF. Could EB1 and 2 be renamed SEe1 and 2? Yes I do believe there will be a delay

I was under the impression that Sovereign were doing a vast hand-me-down arrangement in which the new VHs (Gemini 3) turf older VHs (Gemini 2) onto the 183 which allows SPs to cover the H14. That's exactly what's happening. Also worth noting the H17 is moving over to PK in the coming months.. Yes, the newer buses were just rumours in the area, because they would have done the H14 test using SPs

VH45162 was seen at Harrow Bus Station with two TFL officials inside it whilst it underwent a H14 double decker test. It was also seen at various points on the route. I do not know the outcome of this test but rumours say that 4 new buses will be used. But to me this doesnt make sense and i assume older buses will be used. Any ideas anyone? But it is likely that H14 will go double deck in the future dhe new developments at the Kodak site.

DE45 is also at Harrow with old Yellow on Black Blinds from DE50-56 before it was refurbed. A number of DPSs parked up at FW with blinds from the Harrow routes and 265. DPS 688 was one as well as at least 3 SK02 reg's Yes it makes sense because 3 YX09 DEs transfered to SO. But will the YX09 DEs get refurbished before the H9/10/11 contracts?

A quick walk down to HD shows two VWHs. One new VWH has definately been delivered blinded for the H12 to Stanmore, the running number said unfit I think. As VWH2123 has returned to WJ, does that mean 2 are delivered.

If LS end up running the new 13 (aka 82) they'll be a more substantial pvr increase, whereas if they end up on the 139 the increase will be more modest. There are also tender opportunities impending , including single deck routes. Lots of speculation, but your summary above fits the scenario you've described I would suggest Checked the numbers from Sept. and does work. Route 13 requires 23 buses (including spares), 183 needs 26, 292 needs 10, H14 needs 10, 605 needs 2, 618 needs 2, 619 needs 1, 1 spare for school routes = 75 double deckers. Covered by 20 SPs, 12 SLEs, 23 EuroV VHs,14 euroVI VHs, and 6 VHR = 75 Clearly any route 13 change with 82 or 139 or parts thereof will require more buses but that is months away, probably either 27 Jan (when 139 contract ends) or 31 March (when 82 contract ends) Remove the 10 for the H14 then there are sufficient number of buses Also will 183 move back to BT when the 114 is lost?

Do you know why UXs VWHs are being delivered instead of the HD ones? What do you mean? There are at least as many HD VWHs here as UX ones, if not more. Both batches are currently either at CELF or PV awaiting service. The HD batch have started to be equipped with Oyster / iBus etc. as they're expected into service any day now, whereas the UX ones are more relaxed as their service does not start until September when the 114 contract changes. Just realised VWH2167 didnt have IBUS etc when it arrived at UX
