I see that 4 WN HV’s are now on the 141 in the morning, has there been a further change of schedule?

I'm not sure what's going on the 125 today, had to miss 5 buses over being full at capacity with school students at Finchley. TfL still hasn't removed the temporary timetable that was in place for the August diversion which doesn't help neither does RATP's reluctance to control the route. Whether it's both parties, the organisations doesn't seem to communicate. From my experience, sadly it’s a common occurrence since RATP took on the 125. Metroline and Arriva seemed to cope with the route much better, not sure if it’s to do with garage location, driver changeovers etc. Nowhere near as many issues when EC and AD operated it for Arriva and PB for Metroline

Saw LTs 51 and 53 on the 76 today, along with LT902. I think they're swapping out the 900's for older buses before the 76 goes On purpose to give Arriva older buses !? Does TFL decide which LT’s transfer over to a route or does the operator decide?

It seems to me that RATP are struggling running the 125, I don’t know if it is driver changeovers or electric vehicle issues, been waiting this evening 30 mins and counting for a service from Winchmore Hill, no buses tracking on LVF towards Colindale, the wait continues!!!!

So last week AD lost the 340, PVR 9. 3 duties on the 141 and now the 329 PVR 15 moving to WN. I wonder what the combined PVR for the 34 and the SL1 is for AD to lose so much work? Plus what happens if the WN redevelopment plans go ahead? Only other thing I can think of is if the full 34 allocation plus SL1 is based at AD, then that leaves space at EC if the WN redevelopment goes ahead

Companies fund the refurbs themselves - if refurbs are needed in order to meet the tender spec then the companies bear the cost. However, in theory buses meeting the tender spec will earn a higher contract price than buses below spec - so ultimately TfL do pay indirectly. Yes - if the company knows that it will need to pay for refurbishing buses, it will take this into account in its tender price. So it is down to the companies to get their costings right. Many thanks for replying and answers my curiosity…….. So Arriva are going to part refurb some of their vehicles for SL1 and run the risk of only having the route for a year? That’s what I don’t understand, financially that’s a big risk. And also can the super loop vehicles run on other routes if needed? Why could they just not have blue blinds like the X140 did?

Forgive my ignorance as I’m purely an enthusiast, but do TFL assist bus companies with refurbs or does the bus company actually finance the whole thing?
