Quality Auditor.. I thought QA meant Question and Answer sessions, hence the confusion Of course being in an engineering role I am fully aware of our two brilliant quality auditors ;D Indeed.

From one of the Go-ahead London Engineering QA's:
'SOC10' is a scania demonstartor being evaluated. Its anticipated it will cover for SOC9 at SI. It's being evaluated as its slightly different to the earlier Scanias at SI.
It's unlikely that Go-ahead London will purchase more scanias as thier parts and serivce costs tend to be more expensive then the likes of Volvo and ADL.
Also had some order news confirmed: 280 - New E-400's for AL 20 - New Wright B9TL's for BE 462 - New Streetlites for BE

A report elsewhere that Docklands have a tenth Omnicity YT11LSD - SOC10. From google this bus was last operated by Thames Travel in LT Red livery ... maybe a London Spec Scania Demonstrator? Anyone any more details. So another company investing money in a bus another company reportedly says is useless! CT plus had it for a little while for viewing but was never used and was sent back I think this is to replace SOC9 which suffered a fire not long ago. Some Reports suggest SOC9 may be written off. One for slr to check upon i think.......

I beleive theres a couple down there. 384 was the last to be taken down last night as E207 entered service. Im sure there'll be some BV drivers up for some O/T. I remember when the ETB route transfers all happened, a group of drivers from NX and a standby from Q brought down all the PVL's for the 321 from NX together with the engineering manager. I had just finished my duty and got asked if a wanted a couple of hours overtime, and ferry them back to NX. So i did, got myself a DWL and ferried the Drivers and the EM back to NX. when i got to NX the NX Manager was there and asked if i could drop a couple of 108 drivers back at BV, so I obliged and dropped them off!! Not bad, 1 hours work for 2 hours O/T!!

May i ask a quick question, do all drivers get to pick their own buses? ;D ;D Or is it because you do late, that you ask the cleaners to give you a bus of your choice? If a driver approaches the engineers with a nice enough attitude and if there are no other factors that come into it, a driver doing a late night rail service will get what they want, from me anyway. It also helps their case if they're not lc1 ;D Ditto!!

Drove E202 on the 401, then again on Rail Replacement yesterday and i must say a i was quite impressed. Pull away was a bit sluggish (but then they all are nowadays) but once in 2nd and 3rd gear it went like a rocket. Also the rear doors are a vast improvement than those on the earlier examples. and on the drive back from the Gillingham rail job............ well all im going to say is it was definately not goverened down!! All in all i'm quite impressed. Could the reason why they govern the B9s cause of their fuel consumption, and as the e400s are better on fuel theres no need to. The Enviro's do have a smaller engine, but its a very Torquey one at that. Once out of 1st gear accelleration was very good, great response from the Turbocharger and all the gearing was spot on. E202 did manage 27 mph up Picardy Hill, which is a very good figure, baring in mind these don't have manual kickdown like the 40-56 batch.

Just dropped WVL385 to Q (one for the 12s). WVL258 (the denmark hill bus) has just been towed back there fully repaired and repainted. How come it was towed back, tax disc expired? Also, do the WVLs get restricted before or after delivery? Could well be. Tax and or MOT could have expired.
