I think that sort of arrangement would be good. I have qualms about Facebook etc as these require Facebook accounts and are not necessarily the first place people would look. I'd recommend the LT forum as it is not hosted by Proboards meaning that a problem with either host would not impact the other. Perhaps have a three-way deal could be done (I believe the LT Forum admin 'Deep Level' is a member of all three fora)? There could be a thread on each to report a complete loss of access/report sites being down. I can’t speak for here, obviously, but I suspect the folks at DD would be unlikely to entertain that option. It’s not right to discuss the full reasons why - let’s just say a fair bit of water has passed under that particular bridge.

I think the best option would perhaps be to do something with the LT forum because of the hosting. Anyway, it's something for the admins to consider.

I doubt the forum was down for any longer than about 4 days. I was here on October 29th, and it had gone down and come back by November 3rd.
The worst thing though can be not knowing how long a forum will be down for.
