I failed my first driving test as i had the sun straight in my eyes for a long time (only sunny day that week when it had been predicted to rain). Now I have my 2nd test tomorrow and don’t want to fail due to snow!!!

BBC Weather app says snow from 21:00-06:00 then sleet fron 07:00-09:00 BBC app is so rubbish. Seeing conflicting times on various reports some say rush hour others much later. Met Office has upgraded the South West to Amber so wonder if we will get a amber alert later today. Apparently according to BBC London we are are 10CM mainly to higher ground could the BBC Weather app be putting out "fake news"

Wonder if it would be wise to cut some night buses tonight. Still seeing mixed reports but could be fairly major snow event.

Now I have my 2nd test tomorrow and don’t want to fail due to snow!!! Good luck with your test, if it goes ahead. My first test was on Jan 31st back in the year dot, in Herne Bay, it was the warmest January day for about twenty years with unalloyed sunshine, but I still failed. Re the snow, it's unusual for the main road in Cornwall, the A30, to get blocked in the daytime but it's happened this afternoon, so I suggest you get prepared in London. Only west of Camborne has escaped the snow thus far, but it feels bitterly cold with a biting wind.

As sid says if the snow is bad, the test may be cancelled. Just take it easy and concentrate and you'll be well on your way.

Met Office has upgraded the South West to Amber so wonder if we will get a amber alert later today. After Tuesday's hysteria turned out to be rain, very skeptical. More than likely it will catch us off guard like 2017's Weatherbomb... that Sunday no one expected snow in London but it came. Certainly feels cold enough this time. Temps barely made 3 or 4 today. It was 8 or 9 on Tuesday night so no surprise that nothing happened. They reckon it will reach SW London by 9 tonight, for North London I reckon 10ish. Dry as Michael McIntyre standup at the minute Update:- Snowing heavily, starting to settle on pavements. Not enough to slow down DW491 on the 123 charging towards Wood Green tomorrow's gonna be fun as it's due to snow again and Saturday too...

Not a single drop of snow in sight here in Huddersfield...meanwhile I've heard Brighton have had really snow! Wish I was back home while it was snowing, could do with some more footage of trains arcing from the third rail...

Hasn’t been too much snow (yet)

Nah it was more roadworks than the sun to be honest. The sun was at an irritating angle but manageable. Unfortunately the route I was on had roadworks so I was asked to go on “diversion” and it was a very narrow road and I was deemed to have been “too close” to the guard rail. Happened in the first 5 minutes ... so idiotic

Plenty of snow here in Brixton & for a change, it's not the stuff you put up your nose either - really starting to settle as well.
