That's an old post, 27 is no terminating at the lower bus station. I found it odd at first I was on a 27 which ibus claimed was going to Hammersmith. I assumed the bus was going to King Street (where I wanted to go) and this was before Hammersmith Grove became the destination on the ibus screens. I was horrified when I was turfed off at the bus station. It is strange to see LTs at the lower bus station I have noticed Hammersmith bus station turn has been used a few times since the cutback. I'm surprised the buses actually stand thought it would just be a quick turn around point.

I'm surprised the buses actually stand thought it would just be a quick turn around point. Its quite funny that buses curtail and stand at Hammersmith Bus Station, I presume they use the 9's stand as often one of the three spaces there is unused. I do think that it'd be nice if buses curtailing at Hammersmith described it as Hammersmith Bus Station now some 27 drivers just display Hammersmith on their blinds which isn't great. I've also noticed some drivers display Hammersmith Grove and some display Hammersmith, GLENTHORNE ROAD. The former is consistent with the ibus display but the latter is a better description of where the 27's stand is.
I've noticed on here many people seem hell bent on cutting the 27 back to the bus station now there's stand space at the Lower Bus Station. I think the link to King Street is still useful/important and would be really sad to see it lost if the route were ever cutback to the bus station. Sometimes I think the 27's last stop should be Hammersmith Town Hall, the link around the corner to Glenthorne Road is where buses are carrying fresh air and it just creates confusion for people who used to use the 27 to reach Central London from the stops Lamington Street, and Iffley Road who now can't use 27's to get to Central London, the idea that creating a new local link would have been a benefit of the 27's cutback was laughable.
I think the solution for the 27 would have been to terminate every other bus at Hammersmith Town Hall with the rest continuing to Chiswick Business Park. That way there is less overbussing between Chiswick and Hammersmith but useful connections to Central London are maintained. Its really frustrating how Chiswick High Road now has three very infrequent bus routes, the issue is that I don't think there's much scope for increased frequencies on the majority of the 267/391/H91 so short workings may be the best way to address the poor frequency along Chiswick High Road.
From that rant you can see just how much the 27 cut angers me

The Sunbury closure is actually just south of the Cross, and 216 and 235 are diverted via Windmill Road and Nursery Road. I do not know if the 216 does a double run to serve the Cross or just turn right into Windmill Road.

I do not know if the 216 does a double run to serve the Cross or just turn right into Windmill Road. Just turns right. I was quite surprised that it didn’t at least serve Tesco still (could have even gone through the trading estate upon exit to avoid confusion at the next Staines-bound stop). I’ve also noticed that the signs for the Ashford diversion send both 117 and 216 right out of Stanwell Road, around Fordbridge Roundabout and then back up Fordbridge Road. Guessing the left turn is too tight. I imagine this causes a moment or two of panic with passengers assuming it skips out the high street entirely.

WORPLE ROAD, SW19: Routes 57 131 and N87 are diverted due to a closure on Worple Road in Wimbledon. Buses are diverted via Ridgeway and Cottenham Park Road, and miss stops between Raynes Park Station and Francis Grove.
The 131 is getting hammered by this diversion: WVN27: 131 to Raynes Park from Kingston WVN26: 131 to New Malden, Fountain Roundabout from Tooting WHV27: 131 to Shannon Corner from Tooting

From Monday Eden Street in Kingston is being closed for electricity work for 2 weeks Buses are expected to be diverted via Wheatfield Way
Confusingly some routes, eg 65, 71, 406 are described as diverted Southbound whilst others eg 57, 131 are described as diverted northbound
So shoppers in Kingston will need to play guess where to catch your bus (and this Sunday during Ride London a completely different set of bus stops to above is happening)
No doubt those flat screen countdown signs at the Eden street stops will not show maps on how to get to revised stops, TfL might inform the operators, but is usually far too lazy to inform anyone providing revenue (eg passengers).
Perhaps the multiple Ride London yellow signs (which have been scattered around the Kingston area for 2-3 weeks) saying shops and car parks open have a hidden message, drive to Kingston, don't take the bus (as car parking will be maintained even if buses aren't)

Will the Ride London event affect all the buses going into Kingston on Saturday and Sunday? I can’t really find much detail about it on the website.

Due to essential emergency works, the A30 eastbound between Clockhouse Lane and Ashford Hospital will be closed from 2000 hours tonight for five days.
Guessing the 116 diversion will send it down Clare Road, Bedfont Road and Stanwell Road so pretty lengthy diversion in place!
