I saw a Left hand drive DD Megabus the other day (with passenger door on the right), UK registered and with full UK destinations and branding, completely in English, coming from (seemingly) Bristol to London (saw it at West Cromwell Road, London bound).
Are these some of the ones previously used for European services before Megabus stopped running them? Are some of these being retained and utilised regularly on the UK domestic network?

Yes I often see them up and down the M4.

I travel this route regularly, and the Bristol services seem to be solidly left hand drive Elites for some reason. They do have a centre door on the left side so can still load and unload on the correct side of the road at least! I prefer to travel on Megabus rather than National Express for one reason - the leather seats on the Levantes are, let's say, not pleasant after 3 and a half hours sitting in them. Megabus also give me some, ahem, interesting journeys - I've had a coach do an emergency toilet stop (long story ) at a service station for 20 minutes, floor it down the M4 (overtaking the competing NX service ) and arrive at Victoria 15 early. It's not the most reliable service but it always makes for an interesting journey

SGBC (South Gloucester Bus & Coach), who are now a Megabus contractor having been a National Express one until recently, has take on all the left-hand-drive vehicles previously used on the European runs.
