Osterley and Southall? (across a weak bridge, though, understandably)
What about Heathrow Central and Hounslow West by bus (Piccadilly line exists) (a case for Hounslow too, but 111 is fairly indirect via Heston and Cranford)
Also, Hounslow West and Hounslow Heath are pretty close, but not linked by any public transport at all. Linked by Martindale Road (part of which is served by 237's terminating loop).

Loughborough Junction & Herne Hill has no bus service between them which is linked by Hinton Road & Milkwood Road - there used to be a tram route along there and then in the late 1990's, mobility route 861 ran down there as a hail & ride route but since then, absolutely nothing. Not quite in the same bracket as the 322 carries this link but indirectly, West Norwood has no direct link or frequent link with Clapham Common which has always struck me as odd. The 690 does provide a link but is a school route so doesn't really count. There was a bus route post-tram, the 48. I don't remember it, but I can recall the 42 being extended in the peaks from Camberwell Green via LJ to Herne Hill (Post Office) after the withdrawal of the 48, but the route in those days was bedevilled by Tower Bridge's ascent and descent at irregular (but nevertheless frequent) intervals. Got withdrawn mid 1960s (?)
I can't agree with you on the Norwood to Clapham need: as well as the indirect 322, a short hop up Knight's Hill brings you to the 249 and 417, both of which go to Clapham Common. Traditionally, there was only ever the 137 on this corridor.

The 249 is indirect as well whilst the 417 is not worth relying on in all honesty but yes they can be done. That said, if the money was there, I’d still create the direct link from West Norwood to Clapham Common by turning the 690 into a daily route with it running via its current route and then extended to Wandsworth.

I find it strange that some areas that are close by aren't connected by any routes. Can you think of any? Welling with Abbey Wood and Thamesmead is the one that bugs me. That one has always bugged me. Getting to Welling from Abbey Wood or Thamesmead is far more difficult than it should be. I suggested that Welling should be linked with Abbey Wood as part of the Elizabeth line bus consultation. It would be great if TfL left the B11 alone at the Thamesmead end and instead buses diverted after Lodge Hill to run via Wickham Street, Central Avenue and Bellegrove Road to terminate at Welling (Nags Head Lane stand).

Ok, I'm stretching the meaning of 'near' with these but Clapham Junction or even Clapham South to Tulse Hill are sort of near each other and yet have never had a link between them - again, the 690 does currently link Tulse Hill & Clapham South togther but is a school route so again, doesn't really count.
Not a near one but possibly the one place that the mega accessible place that is Brixton could have some potential with is Catford & Forest Hill (the P4 serves the edge but not the main areas) - Streatham used to be linked to Forest Hill with the 115 before the western part turned into the 201 but since that link went, nothing like it has appeared. Other than that, Brixton has enough excellent links.

The one that I always moan about is Blackheath and parts of what estate agents like to call 'Charlton Slopes' to the shops in Bugsbys Way/Woolwich Road (Asda, Sainsburys etc)

Even when the developers offered them money! 😂

Bromley with St Mary Cray/St Paul's Cray and with Forest Hill are two others. No they aren't next to eachother but I still think they should be linked somehow.

Possibly a route via Chislehurst between St Mary Cray and Bromley but I'm not sure it would be viable considering it's barely five minutes on the train?

I prefered the route the 61 used in 2012 when the Chislehurst Road bridge was closed. It's quick on the train, but to travel from St Mary Cray to Bromley South by train during peak times it costs £2.20 a day more than if there was a bus option.
