Although quite a few operators did get Lynxes, including Lothian Buses with their dual-door examples highlighted on here, I associated the Lynx as mainly a Badgerline group and West Midlands Travel bus. (It was 1995 when Badgerline became part of First and WMT part of National Express, by which time Lynx production had ceased).

Back then, the W14 was probably my absolute favourite route when it ran into Claybury Hospital and direct to Charlie Brown's Roundabout.

Confession time.... I used to drive a white Lynx on the 112 for Atlas donkeys ages ago! What was the terminal working at Palmers Green back then? I'm guessing they wouldn't have allowed "outsiders" into AD garage.

That's the one annoyance with growing up in Brixton - it was always majorly double deck territory which is why I never got ride many of the step entrance single deckers whilst in London or the very few single deck routes in my area wern't ones we ever really used. I rode my first Breadvan & Handybus last year and my first Lynx a few years back for instance whereas I lost count how many Olympians, Titans, Metrobuses, Routemasters & Volvo Citybus I used whilst in London

Lynx at Wood GreenRoute went from Wood Green - my pic of Lynx in Redvers Road Nice pic! But when Atlas first won the 112 it terminated at Palmers Green (North Circular). It was extended to Wood Green a couple of years later.

OK - I only new the route from when it terminated at Wood Green!
Used to like the strange Olympians they would run on this as well - they had like a 'bustle' on the rear like a Fleetline or Atlantean where the glazed rear window was set right back inside so that the engine 'shelf' was outside with side shrouds....
Also alot of us moan about bandit blinds - that lynx in my pic has paper 112 as standard!

Lothian Buses 2020 StrategyLothian Buses 2020 Strategy Link to document At end of 2018 84% of Lothian fleet were minimum euroV No plans to retrofit (upgrade) any pre euroV buses as don't have required customer ambiance It says during 2019 expected to be 50 new euroVI buses (which takes it upto 92% meeting euroV min across the whole Lothian family) And in 2020, there will be 80 new euroVI buses to replace the remaining euroIII buses Longer term plan to operate as euroVI minimum due to proposed ULEZs in Scotland

I believe they've all been re-registered to 19-reg (bar 1063 which was used for training in February)
