I will be quite honest, I think I could see the 68 easily going. I would do my Canada Water changes which includes the 188 being rerouted between TBR & Waterloo Station via the 381, with the 381 cut off at London Bridge and with the new routing of the 188, could maybe be extended to Euston with the 171 extended to Waterloo. I don’t see the point of that, what has it got to do with the 68? More likely that the 188 will be cut back to Waterloo. You could just divert the 381 at Waterloo Road roundabout to Euston. That would create a faster link to Aldwych and Holborn from Bankside and Bermondsey, partly replacing the lost links of route RV1. You would no longer serve York Road or County Hall though. Why? is York Road particularly busy on the 381? If needed, the 381 could become more direct between Surrey Quays + Canada Water with the 199 maybe serving the Rotherhithe Loop and the 381 could indeed go in place of the 68 or 188.

Very possibly. There are still road schemes in the pipeline. Tfl have been made clear they have to make some savings over the next few years and central London is where the demand is likely to be lower for buses. First is Convid-19 partially the blame for this? And is the rest of London going to receive the same type of shake up? I think it's fair to say that Covid-19 has decimated public transport including the airline industry and it's likely to be quite some time before people feel confident about travelling in crowded conditions again.

Personally I hope TfL don't make make any changes in the short term based on Covid. It would be best to wait at least 6 months before considering cutting routes! everything is so up in the air at the moment, our wonderful leader Boris keeps moving the goal post work from home, return to work, go out and spend. People might enjoy working from home at the moment but the novelty will soon wear off and people will want normality. We also have to see "If" a second wave of virus materialises, infection rates are still fairly high.
If anything needs to be done maybe reduce route PVRs on high frequency at least these can be increased at a later date. I said it yesterday but think London will look pretty normal in September but of course could be wrong! perhaps wishful thinking that I will be back at work then

I think people will want to incorporate working from home more into their weekly schedule, maybe with them having 3 at home and 2 in the office. Many companies are now encouraging a balance like this so there will less crowding on the tube and bus network.

I think that Convid 19 will have a massive impact on the Transport in London and most particularly Buses. I think that people will continue to work at home long after the lockdown is lifted. But time will tell.

Our wonderful leader is simply keeping up with an ever changing situation as he should be and working from home is a bit more than a novelty, we've been moving in that direction for some time now and Covid-19 has speeded it up.

So do I work from home to keep my distance from other people or go to one of the many shops and subject myself to the disease? This clown in charge has said both are acceptable.

How is the 68 obvious - it provides much needed assistance to the 468 even more so since that got needlessly cut. There is no stand space at Camberwell Green for the 168 and Old Kent Road requires it's current capacity otherwise, it would of already been pulled back. You can say any route provides much needed assistance..... and the 148 could be rerouted to Old Kent Road Tesco if indeed that survives. Except that in the case of the 68, it actually does - no need to make changes for changes sake.

Perhaps people need to start thinking for themselves? and then everyone will think differently and then the disease will start spreading again. We have a government for a reason, their job is to make decisions at a time like this.
