Lol, saw a passenger asking if the 3 goes to Oxford Circus at Herne Hill I was asked at Vauxhall recently whether there was a bus to King's Cross. I recommended the Underground being a direct Victoria Line journey. I couldn't help drawing a wry smile at the idea of suggesting route 77a.

Had it been a few years ago, there would still be a possibility of a PVL or WVL rolling into the bus station with blinds incorrectly set to 77A

Just seen this on here - patiently waiting for round two to be done very soon. Not gonna bother speculating.

Just seen this on here - patiently waiting for round two to be done very soon. Not gonna bother speculating. Round two was expected to happen at the end of 2019 but was said to be postponed because of the Mayoral election, then planned for May 2020. I give it until the Summer (after the Mayoral election) before new proposals for the centre of town go out to consultation. Expecting a few shockers too....

Not sure there is much else they could change bar the planned 414 cut and maybe the 159 to Oxo.

This kind of was round 2 really as there was the cuts in 2018 but were less severe such as the 15 permanently cut to TSQ, the 22 diverted to Oxo and the 6 diverted via Park Lane with the expected pull back of the 137 to Marble Arch and the 3 to TSQ.

I read an article a couple of weeks backs that many routes would either be cutback or totally axed along with the night tube being permanently axed. Can't find it now but iirc was by myLondon.

I think that was a quote also made in the Standard about how up to 150 routes could be axed due to Lower demand. I think it was more scaremongering about what could happen with Government support.

I think next year may actually be relatively quiet. The Mayor won't want to cut services before the Mayoral election and a new financial settlement will be needed by then. In a best case it won't be known what will happen to demand post-coronavirus until much later in 2021, making service changes more likely in 2022. There is also a realisation all round in both City Hall, TfL and government that cutting services too much can so easily backfire. If you don't want people going around by car then you need a good alternative, namely tubes and buses, cycling and walking simply won't cut it by themselves.
Merry Christmas or whatever you celebrate to all on the Bus Forum.
