Just had a look at the bus stop locations on this revised network. For something that is supposed to make travel easier and help people get to the shop part of Stoke Newington it looks a right old mess to me. TfL are proposing to remove the ability to catch certain buses (73, 393, 476) on Stoke Newington High Street itself on n/b jnys (obviously only alighting on the 73 given it heads round to the Common). This means people either have to cross the High Street and go to Church St to catch these buses or else schlep up to Stoke Newington Stn. At present all routes stop at two adjacent stops on n/b jnys allowing easy and effective interchange or reduced access time to buses without multiple crossing of roads. Worse coming south the 393 and 476 whizz from Stoke Newington Stn to Church St without a common stop with the 76, 149 and 243.
We'll leave the 67's rerouting as a separate issue but I can't see that being very popular with people who now access the High St directly. However I recognise the need to provide some sort of service on the Rectory Rd corridor. I'd have been tempted to send the 476 round that way - a bit counter intuitive but it would create some new links. I'd have kept the 67 on the main A10 drag.
