X140: Heathrow Airport Central, Bus Station > Heathrow Airport CentraL Why do they keep chopping and changing what the iBus announcements say for Heathrow? TfL used Heathrow Central for many years prior to last year which people were very much used to, so there’s absolutely no need for it in the first place.. And then they wonder why they’re short on cash…

Probably changes, someone complains so they change again, and cycle continues.

The new iBus destination announcements sound silly anyway as the gap from ‘to’ to the destination is far too long.

No to mention adding unnecessary detail - don't get me started on how the 53's terminus is Lambeth North, Lower Marsh - I bet almost none of the route's users care that the final stop is called Lower Marsh.

Actually, I think that's a pretty important detail to mention - Lower Marsh is an important destination in the area itself

For example, whose idea was it to convert Northolt to Northolt, West End Road? Could've easily just changed it to Northolt Station in the first place but instead just kept chopping and changing it back and forth. Not many people know this but the school journey on the AM 184 displays Muswell Hill when it doesn't even go there. Just unnecessary confusion and a waste of money.

DL6: Barking > Barking, Ripple Road What is the point of this as passengers can't stay on the buses to Ripple Road can they?

DL6: Barking > Barking, Ripple Road What is the point of this as passengers can't stay on the buses to Ripple Road can they? Nope, the last stop is Barking Station. I'm assuming someone must have seen the buses terminate around the corner from Ripple Road and has done this, but didn't realise the Ripple Road turn has its last stop at Renwick Road all the way on the other side of Barking.

Has someone FOI'd all these changes and who decides them, how much it costs, what the justification is for this activity, what criteria is used to decide which route changes are done and what the wording is, which route changes are coming up... etc Surely constantly changing these is costing the business a heap of unnecessary money and time?!
