I used the 53 & 172 yesterday and noticed something new. Multiple times, the bus would display the announcement and then include another section. For example - 'Old Kent Road - Alight here for interchange to bus routes 63 and 363 to Peckham from Stop __', 'The 53 and N53 provide a frequent service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week' and the same stop interchange announcements like 'Old Kent Rd / Ilderton Rd - Alight here for same stop interchange with bus route P12 to Peckham'. I'm guessing the 363, 168, 63, 453, etc all have these announcements too.

Its been announcing interchange just before the stop for a few weeks now i noticed it on the 4 last monday and aagin today on the 29 They've been around since the Central London changes last month, but some more announcements have definitely been added since last week. I noticed on the 172 last Friday. Is it known whether the 133 has those additional announcements? I don't remember hearing it when I was on it relatively recently. Perhaps it's only done on route that were directly rerouted/curtailed/extended? |

They've been around since the Central London changes last month, but some more announcements have definitely been added since last week. I noticed on the 172 last Friday. There’s a new announcement on the 148 at Elephant & Castle regarding the Northern Line closure.
“There is currently no service on the Northern Line from this station until Mid-May 2022. Please alight here and walk bus stop F for bus routes 35, 133 and 343 which run to London Bridge on all days of the week or route 733 which runs to Moorgate on Monday to Friday.
It is a little premature as the closure does begin until next weekend.

Please alight here and walk bus stop F for bus routes 35, 133 and 343 which run to London Bridge on all days of the week or route 733 which runs to Moorgate on Monday to Friday. It is a little premature as the closure does begin until next weekend. Better to let the people know in advance |

Better to let the people know in advance I do think advance warning is good, but this announcement is saying ‘there is currently no service’ which is not yet correct. Something like “From 15 Jan…” would of worked better as an advance warning (or even as the temporary recording to be used during the closure) as has been done with other announcements. |
