Not too long now until Arthur Street reopens, with the 344 returning to its LOR northbound via Southwark Bridge and the many routes in the area executing the Monument turn once again! It has been years that has closed, absolutely shameful and ridiculous.

Used the new walkway from the DLR to Central Line today and convinced its longer than using the old walkways. I know I am a fast walk but it just felt tedious the new way and will revert to the old escalators /stairs next time.
One thing I noticed is how the new section has lost its "newness" already it didn't feel fresh and the escalators are grubby. Its similar on the Elizabeth Line where I have noticed some stations look a little dirty is places.

It is actually a lot quicker, one day I was early for work so timed it and managed to shave over a minute 30 off the change. The old route actually took you from DLR level to Northern Level, then to Central Level then up above over the westbound tunnel before needing to come back down again, while the new route is a straight path underneath the westbound Central Line and you can use the escalator to walk up as opposed to the stairs.

Maybe I got caught behind lots of leisure weekend commuters it just felt tedious up a escalator then the log walk way then a escalator again. I will try again another time.
