consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/w19-rerouting/Bus route W19 currently operates between Ilford and Argall Avenue in Walthamstow. Between South Access Road and Argall Avenue, it operates via the gated Council depot. The depot closes around 20:00 requiring route W19 to terminate at South Grove in Walthamstow town centre in the evening. As part of the Coppermill area Liveable Neighbourhoods and Cycleway 27 schemes, a road link between South Access Road and Argall Avenue will be re-opened by the London Borough of Waltham Forest. This would enable route W19 to avoid running through the Council depot. It also creates the opportunity to extend the W19 to Argall Avenue at all times. The local schemes also include a bus gate outside Barn Croft Primary School, to the north of the Council depot. The borough has already consulted on their proposals including the bus gate. This consultation is only for the proposed changes to the W19 bus route. Proposals: 1. It is proposed to re-route the W19 direct from South Access Road into Argall Avenue avoiding the Council depot 2. It is also proposed to extend the W19 to finish at Argall Avenue at all times. The route operates every 20 minutes after 20:00

Although I'm not going to argue with the principle of consultation, surely there is a need for proportionality when doing it? Someone at TfL is taking time out of their busy day to write this, publish it and analyse the responses. To what end? LBWF has already consulted on the road layout.

Going back to my earlier comment, I am staggered that TfL has somehow managed to generate a 41 page report out of this. Some of the stakeholders listed as being consulted border on the bizarre. What relevance this has to the Westcombe Society or London United, to name just two, is beyond me.

This one seems to have completely no relevance at all and sounds quite familiar to a suggestion that keeps popping up on the forum "Create an EL4 Route between Barking Riverside & Romford via Goresbrook, Becontree and Becontree Heath" Seems by far the most common suggestion is that people want the route extended to Lea Bridge Station which I'm quite surprised isn't being done.

I saw that one and laughed. How EL4 has to do with this is beyond me.

That happened with the 315 consultation a few years back - one of the stakeholders were a Beckenham & Bromley group from memory who merely just commented on the 162, a route or places that have nothing to do with the 315 at all.

Looks like this is a definite- noticed tonight signs at the Markhouse Road/Markhouse Avenue junction stating "No access to council depot or recycling centre via South Access Road from 28th September" so sounds like the bus gate near Barn Croft school will be implemented.
