vjaska Was Effra Road's far right lane converted to pavement for social distancing reasons? And how has it affected the local area especially the traffic? Effra Road never lost a lane to social distancing - Brixton Road lost it's bus lane to social distancing instead. As for traffic, Effra Road northbound generally suffers particularly during the afternoon & evenings as a result of the low traffic neighbourhood schemes as before it's implementation, it flowed fine. Since Friday, traffic southbound is now suffering as a result of temporary lights at the Brixton Water Lane junction due to water works.

Noticed the DLR have closed off the front and rear doors again like at the height of the pandemic. A few weeks ago they closed off the first two rows of seats but had left the door area open. Once again most Arriva Dartford E400s have their front lower deck seats taped up out of use.

Sadiq Khan: Masks to remain mandatory on Tube and London buses following end of Plan B
Will be interesting how many comply this time around! Started off well during the summer last year but gradually dropped off before the December plan B changes.

Like before, I'll be continuing to wear mine whether people like it or not

Like before, I'll be continuing to wear mine whether people like it or not I guess this does beg the question as to when face masks will finally disappear? I cannot wait for the day (hopefully soon!) when we have to get rid of them

I cannot wait for the day (hopefully soon!) when we have to get rid of them Not anytime soon as our incompetent government is declaring covid beaten despite that not being the case. We will probably have a good few weeks then a increases in cases. They are even talking about removing the need to self isolate from the end of March even with a positive test. The ending of plan B restrictions is simply to distract us from partgate.

I don’t think they’ve declared Covid beaten as so much they’ve finally realised that Covid is here to stay and we must live with it.

Exactly, nobody in their right mind would claim to have beaten covid. Obviously the risk is a lot lower now but we've still got to be vigilant.

It was a sarcastic pop at the government’s attitude towards the pandemic. Sorry but the timing of some announcements are pure distraction but some just can’t take off the rose tinted spectacle when it comes to who they are handling things. I don’t see other countries talking about moveing away from isolation or possibly charging for LFT.

I think some people will continue to wear face coverings for the foreseeable future particularly on the tube where the air quality isn't great anyway regardless of covid. I actually think the mayor is right to still mandate them.

I don’t see other countries talking about moveing away from isolation or possibly charging for LFT. Would you rather we were isolating sheep? Some other countries are saying look at the UK, you are so backward with your isolation and restriction policies. I was critical the way Boris handled things in the early days, but think his COVID policy of the last 6-9 months has been spot on. Wish we could say the same about politicians and civil servants behaviour.

Even when it’s mandatory lots don’t bother and even less will in the weeks to come despite the condition of travel rule.
