D6 passes both ends of D7 N25 passes both ends of 8 N15 passes both ends of 15 and 5 (well one end common at Romford market) 86 passes both ends of 296 (one end common) 47 passes both ends of 199 188 passes both ends of 129
Think there are a fairly large number of examples where a bus passes one terminus and the other end is common

43 passes 271 at both ends.
Honestly don’t see how the 271 has survived the cuts tbh. Seems such a pointless route with the 43 and 214 running most of its route. Crazy to think it’s a 24hr route too!! I guess Tfl know something we don’t.

If its capacity was removed parallel routes would struggle to cope.

I could quite conceivably see the 271 being extended to Brent Cross (or Golders Green and the 268 extended to Brent Cross) and the 210 axed with the 143 extended to Finsbury Park. It would also remove the allegedly problematical 271 stand in Highgate Village.

There was a suggestion that there might be a N210 introduced to Moorgate which suggested part of the (N)271 would be partly replaced. The day 271 does have a purpose thou as the section between Highbury and Old Street has roads to itself and does take a quicker route then the 43 between Higbury and Moorgate.

The only other option would be to extend the 263 to Moorgate from High/Isl stn to replace the 271 and leave the Highgate Village section to the 143 and 210 which would remove the problematic stand. Thou it doesn't seem to be considered too problematic now tfl dont want to spend money on it.

It only really has roads to itself between baring street and just before Highbury corner. A grand Total of 4 or 5 stops. It’s also it’s quietest section of route.

That's a lot of changes just to remove a route from a stand - the easy solution is to simply extend the 271 to Highgate Wood to stand with the 234 rather than making wholesale changes that break links.

You could simply extend the 271 to Highgate Wood instead of removing any route - the 263 is already quite a long route without extending it even further.
