Not surprised. I had a feeling they would start using them on the 1st December despite being parked up for at least two weeks. New Road Tax Month. No payment for electric vehicles duty is £0, so doesn't matter when they start in the month. Are electric buses exempt. I can only see one rate for PCV £500pa, not based on emissions.

Rode 14152 and 14153 on the 160 earlier this morning and saw a couple others on the route. They are really nice buses, everything you can expect from a new electric bus. I think that makes the 160 the first double decker electric bus route in South East London? Looking forward to the 180 next, most if not all of its buses are at PD looking ready to go, I expect them to enter service soon.

It might be a TL vehicle for the 160 with blinds for the 180- I might be wrong but I think the standard hybrids at BW have a via blind for the 8 instead of a full scroll of destinations to cut down on costs If the allocations are to be believed then yes it should be a 160 vehicle, but we all know how they ended up splitting the 173/174 batches (14148-61 for 160, 14162-72 for 180) 14162 - 72 is 11 buses. It was previously suggested that route 180 was getting only ten. Anyone have anything definate on that?

E400EV City. And they look a lot like NRM's. Where did name Dennismaster come from Don’t even have a Dennis chassis, they are a BYD design chassis (and many were made in Hungary by BYD) I plead guilty to making that name up, inspired by the Borismaster nickname. They may not have a Dennis chassis but they are still an Alexander Dennis product.

I like how the Number Plates on the 160s buses have the Green bit on them like many Electric Cars I’ve seen recently.

Dennismaster update: 14163, 67, 70 and 72 present at PD this morning, and there could be more hidden away in the shed. As I write, 11035-8 all not in service. Could it be they are being readied for transfer back to WH?

That's exactly it! GS's like to hold them in reserve if they can.

Been noticing that the last journeys on the 97 have been a few Leyton workings. I’ve seen 257 MMCs and 56 e400hs on them. Anyone know the reason for this? (Not complaining, I actually like that)
