Stagecoach often tend to do a more extensive refurbishment on vehicles not already in their own colours, the Ex ELBG buses got their floors completely replaced into the standard Stagecoach colours. The Tower Transit buses may be the same, however the issue would be the fact that Tower Transit have some oddly coloured panels on their bus with an interesting pattern. This would clash and may not be worth replacing. Can imagine this all gets left behind, or even if the refurbishment made to the Ex TT fleet is just the standard refurbishment they do. It'll probably clash but get the job done. There aren’t that many routes that are starting new contracts in next 18 months, so I cannot see much happening short term. Possibly some buses will go off lease (from either company) if there are more PVR cuts But it does look like Stagecoach London will have hefty fleet renewals in 2024-2025 (a legacy of all the new buses 2011-12 when Stagecoach bought it back, the bendybus conversion and pre Olympics So personally can’t see much happening on refurbishment, or rush to change moquette Looks as though both Arriva and Stagecoach will be the go-to place for manufacturer salesman with the huge orders of new buses likely

With LI due to transfer very soon, I wonder if Stagecoach might have a similar approach to Go Ahead when the novated fleet starts to need refurbishments. Assuming Stagecoach intend to keep their current moquette in the long term, this will clash quite badly with Tower Transit's interior (unless they choose to spend more to repaint the handrails to orange?). Perhaps the green adaptation of their moquette, as used in the 56's E40Hs (and some hybrids outside of London), could be brought back into use, which would work much better? It will be strange seeing Stagecoach buses on the 236... I guess LI will be very quick with the fleetname changes. Moquette may stay the same for a while. Arriva never changed the Ex First VLWs that they bought on the 158 in terms of interiors for a couple of years

I thought TT logos might have started to be removed but nothing as of yet from what I have seen.

Someone will be busy with the vinyls at LI during Saturday night after the run-in I wonder if none of the fleet numbers clash with Stagecoach, they could just delete the first part being "WV*****" and leave the 5 existing numbers? Perhaps non standard stuff will eventually be replaced or moved on, like the Streetdeck HEV's (They will be welcome at Arriva for the 123 or 41 )

Stagecoach has a recognisable brand name and logo to apply from day one. So I’d expect it to be done fairly quickly especially as this is a sale and not a merger.

How long did Stagecoach take to apply the logo to their buses in 2010? In all honesty I didn't get around much back then and being quite young I didn't even realise the sale had happened until the logos appeared.

If I remember correctly when the Stagecoach bought back London in 2010 it immediately become part of Stagecoach Group as soon as it was announced that ELBG/Macquarie Group was sold back to Stagecoach?

Something that dawned on me is that NS enviro 400s mostly consist of those that originated all 3 south london garages.

Yeah and in terms of the official on-paper allocation of the 11/12 reg NS Enviro 400 routes, each of the 3 routes (86, 128 & 247) is allocated with batches new to all 3 different Selkent garages with the 86 is mostly allocated with the ex PD ones from the 53, the 247 is allocated ex 136 12 reg batch from TL and finally the 128 got the ex 208 ones from TB. In reality its a bit different with the 247 predominantly using the 11regs and both the ex TL & TB 12 reg batches are mostly found on the 86 & 128, the 12 regs do still get used on the 247 on a daily buses but that's normally small proportion of the daily run out and they do get some use on the 294, 296 & 498.

I wonder if history will repeat itself and the 53 gets new buses at the next tender cascading it’s existing buses to the 86.

Exactly that. I think one of my fondest memories of NS garage was when the volvo Olympians were there. Notably the R-XNO ones that were on the 86 and 174
