Is there any reason the original TT fleet numbers are so huge? The GAL/Arriva system (start at 1) looks much cleaner, "E47" or "DW273" is far more practical than "VH2757288182939." They were inherited from First and I imagine were done to allow cohesion with the First commercial pastures as under First when they were done with stock in London, it would usually be cascaded to other parts of the country (for example TNL33003 has now become 33003 in Norwich) Once upon a time, they were numbered like DW273 & T73. An example of this was TN32810/32810 used to be TN810 many moons ago. A bit like RATP SP190 became SP40190 (as an example)

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but the new numbers for the ex Tower Transit vehicles have been numbered in order of age rather than following a numerical order similar to what Tower Transit had so buses that were in chronological order for Tower Transit aren’t in chronological order with Stagecoach. This is less prevalent in the Streetlites, MCV’s & some batches of the Enviro 200’s but very noticeable in the B9TL’s, Gemini3’s & Streetdecks

Different numbers, when those Geminis were on loan to TL last year they had the 801xx numbers with last 3 dights matched the TT VH numbers and now permanently under Stagecoach they are numbered as 13121-13137.

My predictions for the ex Tower Transit new fleet numbers were 90% correct but the LTs were the only Wrightbus DDS with Stagecoach but I had them as 14901 etc but 18901-21 was the correct system It's a pity Stagecoach didn't tidy up the Volvo B7 fleet as 13850 up and the B9 fleet as 13950 up. The solo Volvo Olympian (not in London) should be 19914. These put all DD Volvo's in the 13xxx range vacating the 16xxx range.

Also 18/19000s are ADL not Volvo buses.

Many thanks Michicant and Kevin Cooper for this information - I note that the former TT routes are all showing the new TT fleet numbers on LVF - has anyone eyeballed / are the ex TT buses physically wearing their new fleet numbers? (I'm likely to be at Finsbury Park tomorrow at some stage so I may be able to answer my own question by taking a look at the Streetlites on the 236)

borneobus at least some of the ex Tower Transit vehicles have their new numbers, saw a pic of a line-up where some had them whilst others still had the old fleet numbers but that was yesterday so might have progressed more by now

Looks like Stagecoach is planning to extend its sightseeing operation from 1st August Confusingly the consultation refers to it as a blue route and a green route Link
