It is down to the build slots as you say. I remember there were order changes years ago with the SLD's changing some to the longer 10.8m from 10.2m although things like this do have a cut off date though. Most of the chassis are built at Guildford, you obviously can’t stick a short body on a short chassis so latest change date would be fabricating the chassis. However what it is possible to do is to split and switch orders. as an example assume Abellio ordered all their deckers in one batch but said don’t need some until June, then can pause and build someone else’s before resuming production. If parts are same would it really matter if a wheel bought for one bus ended up on another bus Build slots are different to when parts are ordered before production. When an order takes place it is given a slot, it doesn't just automatically have parts ordered on an instant. This is why there is a flexibility to change the order, before a cut of date. Vehicle manufactures tend to do this, so it doesn't result in cancelled orders.

The last outstanding bus of route 25 fleet 11341-11375 entered service today, so all now in service
Not heard anything about 11376-11399 (batch for 425) which is taken over in 4 weeks time

I saw LT266 out of service around St Pauls earlier. Quite a few drivers on board I'm guessing drivers that have come over from LI with the 25 learning the 8 route although that is just a guess.

Could also be BW drivers from the 8/205 route learning to cover the 25. I believe lots of BW drivers are having to go on some type of spare rota at the moment because of the reduced services across the network.

That's interesting. It did briefly cross my mind that it could be out to check LTs can be used on the 25 but thought that idea sounded a bit silly so thought the first idea sounded more likely.

Well I wouldn't say that's far fetched. The 25U will eventually operate under Stagecoach and BW always throw out LTs onto the 238U so I would not be surprised if the 25U gets the same treatment.

Does the 8/N8 now have a part LT allocation?

Does the 8/N8 now have a part LT allocation? No! All linked to reduced amount of buses being used by operators at the moment - less buses are probably available for service or being maintained. Also drivers are probably covering the 8 and N8 that are not type trained on the LTs.
Not just happening at Stagecoach. At GAL RR garage the 147 is using a lot of the E400s allocated to the 104 most day.

Regarding Scania's:
The Plumstead batch haven't been out on the roads since March/April, but I can confirm that they are some sitting in the garage yard.
The Rainham batch will be reduced when the new contracts start on the retained routes in Autumn.
That leaves West Ham, it will be nice for the only route there to get some new Smart Hybrids, of course it's likely to get a 2 year extension next year.

The Scanias at PD & RM were parked up because Scanias are less economic to run than Volvos or Enviro 400's - they will all return when service levels return to normal and even then, the RM bunch may stay longer than expected as it's unlikely the new electrics will arrive on time for the 174 which was to displace Enviro 400's to the Scania operated 365 along with the 256.

If you read my reply re the N8 using E400s you would know these buses are off the road for the same reason!!

I'm guessing the PD ones are still there until the 472 has its PVR reduction when Crossrail opens and potentially next year only the 97 and 248 will still be scheduled for them meaning the type with Stagecoach has nearly been wiped out in just 12 years (2009 to 2021) with a handful surviving till possibly 2023 unless some E400s become spare.

Does anyone know what the situation with the 323s MMCs are? With the lockdown easing I wonder if we will see them over the coming weeks.
