The 425 needs 22 buses at least so the 10 DNs would be a good fit temporarily. Although I imagine we'll find out over the next few days.

TB has 9 diesel E400's that are allocated to the school routes and with few more buses at other garages that are spares/school route allocated would be enough for the 425 from this weekend. As you said we will find all out of this in the next few days.

11071-11074 all haven't been used in service since last Thursday with the 261 using more of older E400's than it usually does, I wonder if those 4 have now transferred to BW for the 425 and I won't be surprised if more of the 261 MMC's do head out that way to BW later in the week.

I have noticed since the 323 converted to electric buses a diesel E200 is usually parked up at Canning Town Bus Station (On the 69 stand)
I wonder if this is on stand by in case a bus develops issues or a driver is not type trained? Looking at LVF 36366 is being used today from 5pm onwards.

I wonder if it's just a meal relief bus there for the 474, 330 or 241. The 323 has its changeovers at Cody Road so should a driver not be type trained I imagine they'd just bring a bus out from the garage there and then. However it might also be a spare in case a break down should occur or a bus runs out of juice.

I assume the new buses for the 425 will be delivered with blinds already fitted so got me wondering if the loaned buses will have blinds for the 25/425?
Stagecoach could use old Tower Transit blinds if available? these would have route 25 on them but the buses with the correct 425 extension are limited to the buses currently being used on the route so not so easy....

Looking at the 285s situation down at Abellio the manually blinded buses seem to have a Smartblind set in them, which seems to suggest they are the sets due to go into the MMCs. Once the ADL factory shutdown was announced, and any delay in delivery told to Stagecoach I wouldn't be too surprised if all the blinds were delivered standalone down to London to be put into any buses that might need to cover. The other alternative is that the 425 will be on the sets of WH buses, so the new blinds due for the 277s MMCs will be used on the buses that will cover for the 425.

Good point - I forgot the transferred buses to WH will need new blinds. I have noticed a few non LCD Smart Hybrids are being used on the 277 so assume these buses also have updated blinds! very rare for Stagecoach to bandit so pretty safe to assume this is the case

It is also possible the Abellio buses have blindsets from withdrawn (or reallocated) HH-AV RATP buses Not the dayglow ones from former ADE routes 81, 120 etc, but ones from SPs Blinds are usually installed early at factory before the glass, so could be sets intended for other buses at the garage to allow flexibility. Perhaps just one batch has them so those buses will be used and other routes back filled with borrowed buses.

Any news on what the 425 will use on Saturday? I've seen elsewhere 12300, 12302 and 12303 are now at BW, presumably for the 425 takeover so probably safe to say the 425 will have at least some partial existing SC vehicle aspect to it.
