Honestly I'm surprised how fast that Electroliner came, considering how late the order was confirmed, but then again, we don't know how long ago these were actually ordered! I assume type training would still take some time though because HK isn't wired up. I thought that HK was wired up because they're storing a bunch of bzls and metro city's there

I apologise if this is already answered but is the 97 drivers moving to LI with the route? Also has type/route learning commenced yet? Yes on route learning/type training as there was a Streetdeck running along the 97 route recently for route learning/type training and a E200 & Evoseti was used for route learning as well.
Also, the 97 is due to have a couple of E400's allocated to the route at LI that will be transferred from other garages from this Saturday in addtion to the Streetdecks from the 262/473.
Surprised they are not sending the 3 or 4 MMCs from the 277 that are planned to make up part of the allocation. They could have sent the E400s into WH and put a few Smarts on the 277.

I’m amazed these are turning up so quickly, the 58, 277 and D7 BZL DDs are nowhere to be seen yet and these vehicles were announced so late

I was about to say I’ll be surprised if two extra spares for the 97 will be enough given the StreetDecks reliability track record

But having said that they do seem to have improved over the last year or so with less VNs covering them. On a related note is the 678 allocated Steetdecks on paper?

I wouldn't be surprised if Stagecoach do decide to withdraw the Streetdecks at some point in the future in favour for a full MMC allocation for the 97, if any MMC allocated routes are up for tender do go electric on their next contract.

But as much as I have a side eye for the streetdecks, I kinda happy to see a G3 bodied bus on the 97.😌

My bet re the E400s for the 97s will be spare Hybrids from the 56. Not long to wait now!
I am missing the Scanias already!

I believe the long term plan is spare buses from the 277 once released. busoccultation suggested standard E400s will be used at least initially and at a guess probably ex route 86 as electrics are in use daily now with usually 2 -3 buses.

If I am not mistaken the 56 had a PVR cut when the new contract commenced. The surplus Hybrids from the cut are mostly daily on the 275.

Anything that was spare at T from the 56 or 215 has already gone elsewhere including for the D7. I think the 97 will receive the ones from the 86 if they can get more Electroliners in service at NS or if not then it will have to be ones at WH with the Scanias staying for the 241/330/474 in the meantime as MMC covers while they are loan for the 242.

I am loving the front of that. It has a car look to it. When you compare it to the utter mess that Optare made of the facelifted Metro Decker
