Honestly I'm surprised how fast that Electroliner came, considering how late the order was confirmed, but then again, we don't know how long ago these were actually ordered! I assume type training would still take some time though because HK isn't wired up. the order was probably placed a while ago, but confirmed "publicly" more recently

When did buses become spare on the 56? I believe the long term plan is spare buses from the 277 once released. busoccultation suggested standard E400s will be used at least initially and at a guess probably ex route 86 as electrics are in use daily now with usually 2 -3 buses. If I am not mistaken the 56 had a PVR cut when the new contract commenced. The surplus Hybrids from the cut are mostly daily on the 275. The 56's vehicles are too old for new contracts, 97 is expected to use a few younger Enviro 400's judging by what was written on here

Wonder what buses 257 getting Electroliner or BZL I bet on Electroliner Is it just me that thinks the BZL's are on a different planet to the Electroliners in both design and looks? I'm not slagging off the Electros but the BZL's look slick.

The BZL looks ok - don’t think anything beats the BYD City for looks thus far. Internally, the Electroliners are currently my favourite of the new electric double deckers especially Abellio’s examples with the full high spec - those glass pillars enhance the experience if your sitting at the front

I do like the BZL DD, but am not convinced by the SD version (though is better visually than the GB Kite). In terms of interior & / passenger experience, I still think the Metrodecker EV is one of the best.

Wonder what buses 257 getting Electroliner or BZL I bet on Electroliner I would assume Electroliners are only being ordered if there are any length restrictions on any part of the route, but I'm not sure if the 257 has any like that. If it doesn't BZLs would probably be ordered.

Any update on the D7, 277 or 58's BZLs? Must admit that the delivery times for Volvo are awful, but nothing beats Switch at being the slowest.

I'm not a fan of buses with short side windows at the front upstairs which the integral ADL model will have so prefer the exterior of the BYD myself. I've rode a MCV BZL single decker and they are quite nice to ride, don't look bad in the flesh either but I much prefer the Metrocity single decker - hands down my favourite so far but only the newer models. Abellios are certainly built very well unlike the old Quality Line ones which poor workmanship for example - the Abellio electric models are also extremely nippy. The Metrodecker isn't bad but again, not a fan of the short side windows at the front upstairs and didn't feel as comfortable as an Electroliner

Are there any buses in the UK that have even fast charging? Even the USB-C ports on the SL5's E200's have a 5V output.

All USB chargers provide current at up to 5v (if not they’d fry your device) but some will support a higher amperage being drawn which would allow faster charging.

Anything that was spare at T from the 56 or 215 has already gone elsewhere including for the D7. I think the 97 will receive the ones from the 86 if they can get more Electroliners in service at NS or if not then it will have to be ones at WH with the Scanias staying for the 241/330/474 in the meantime as MMC covers while they are loan for the 242. I read a comment elsewhere that hinted that a couple of Scania's could maybe stay but nothing confirmed.

They're clunky, noisy, ugly, have the worst seats of any London bus and are old. They look worn out and time for them to be offski'd. Thanks for the service but off you go please.
