309 seems to be growing in terms of using its E200 MMCs, I think the E200s that came from the 339 have headed to the W9..?

I guess it also depends when WH is closing in 2025 (I am assuming that’s now confirmed) as the 323 and 277 might take priority as they will be moving into HK. Just out of interest and this may have already been discussed but is this a trial of the new type of display? Note that this was on the 58 on the new BZL showing the wrong route and even moreso, the wrong time but I haven't seen it on another bus since? View AttachmentThey must have transferred the data from Luxair's shuttle buses I saw this same display on my travels to Luxembourg in January It's nice to see the functionality of the system compared to the old iBus matrix screens

View AttachmentI believe this is actually the standard software of the system, it defaults to this style and specifically the 173 too. This is the case in any city and also seems to be in any country too. I think the reason you've probably not seen it is that someone has come around and probably overwritten it with the standard TfL design.

A W9 folder including A full route risk assessment has been added to the Ash Grove section on our blink. This could suggest something more permanent if they are adding all this to Blink. Would be nice if we won it on a proper contract

Would be nice if we won it on a proper contract Although many believe it’s just a short temporary contract I do feel Stagecoach have a chance at retaining the route on a permanent basis and would add nicely to their large W route portfolio they have, AW isn’t massively far from either terminus.

I know the notices makes no reference to the uniform but have only really started to notice the new (Ish) one in recent months. I am talking about the Polo Shirt style one. When did this get introduced?
The new uniforms have been rolled out over the last year or two. Fortunately the colours fit with the new branding as well so the uniforms do not need to be changed again. What I am hearing is that the 2020 rebrand is difficult ro re-apply and keep tidy when panels need to be replaced or retouched, especilally the vulnerable low-level ones. It was a crap livery and a backward step compared to when the other one came out in 2000. This was more a case of focusing on using the turning ball logo as much as possible.

AW will be close to full capacity after the W12 reroute, so if they wanted to run the W9 from there it would require a reshuffle to garages furthee south (considering T will also be close to full when the 20 moves in). With this limited capacity, I think Stagecoach's bids will be mostly just focused on routes east of the Lea Valley, could go for routes like the 123 or 230. Even if they do look west of the Lea, I think AW would still just focus on the Edmonton area (such as the 144, 318 or 491), rather than much further west like Enfield/Southgate. I think the W9 will likely be between Arriva and Metroline, maybe Uno too if they can find any second hand SDs (or perhaps even Go Ahead since they won the 299 from NP?).

I can certainly see PB going for the W9 and retaining the 327 with BZLs (Or else the ex-382 DEMs for 3 years)

Is it possible Stagecoach London. Open garage north London area. They could, but they would need to be able to win enough work to guarantee the investment is worthwhile. Personally, I can't see any operators moving into significant new areas, like Stagecoach running more in North London.

Folks does anyone know what happened to the ex-388 tridents when they left the route in 2016/17. Apart from their rock hard seats I was fond of them especially when I'd go to Victoria Park in the early 2010s and then when it came to Stratford I had a better excuse to get that bus as it finally created a daytime bus link from Bethnal Green to Stratford.

Buses would need to be go back to their parent garage for maintenance and possibility of a driver having to sign on or off at the parent garage before picking or dropping the bus up at the outstation.
