36608 is now apart of the reserve fleet I imagine one of the former 165 buses is now allocated to the 499.

As said on my list, I have been told that the 275 remains a 100% Diesel allocated route however ofc if that is not the case could someone please state the allocation. The ratio varies on a daily basis of the route. Initially it was allocated 10113-23 but 4 of that batch have transferred elsewhere to cover late running buses. As stated several times londonbusroutes.net shows the on paper allocation in the Operational Details section. Not individual buses but a bit of research on LVF gives you this information. Stagecoach garages do mix and match according to daily requirements.

You can’t base daily allocations on what is the paper allocations. If buses move out others usually move in the other direction. You seem convinced the route is going to go hybrid or has already partially converted. I am not sure if they route has already partially converted but yes as you say daily run out allocations are different from what is on paper. I believe the route is up for tender next year so hoping for some good news. Been challenging to run with reliability issues no thanks to the bridge closed on Broadmead Road! Do you reckon it will get new buses? I hope so because apart from Stagecoach's winning the tender in 2012 it has never had new buses ordered specifically for it, just generally gets hand me downs. I guess we will just have to sit back and wait.

Of all the garages BK and PD are the only ones where it seems a anything goes approach is applied.

Was in the Woodford area yesterday so happened to spot a few buses on the revised network. It seemed very weird seeing a W14 heading to Whipps Cross but did notice it had more passengers onboard that the previous 549. I also spotted a W12 terminating at Charlie Browns Roundabout with another bus behind heading Woodford Bridge. I am not sure what's going on along Chigwell Road but the traffic from South Woodford to the roundabout is getting worse each week it now backs al the way back to George Lane most Saturday daytimes.

At peak times W12 buses always seem to come in pairs at the Woodford end and it's even more common to see a bus curtail at Charlie Browns. The loadings are pretty good throughout the day so I dread the day the Enviro100s are introduced. Chigwell Road (South Woodford) and Leytonstone traffic has always been pretty terrible to be honest. W14 has slightly better ridership than the 549 (on average roughly 5 pax on board during the day) but it still carries a lot of air.

Its absolutely ridiculous that the 'new' W14 has got longer buses running around generally carrying just the driver but the 'new' W12 that gets pretty busy during the day and peaks get the smallest buses on the market.

LOTS SUP45B Says that the 86 is not partially operated from LI is that right I thought that is was? It has buses parked there overnight. Some buses at the end of the day, interestingly predominantly from the Romford end dead run back to LI for the overnight parking. Presumably the get charged there too. So are 86 outstationed there or is an actual allocation?

In all fairness, both the old W14 & 549 were allocated longer vehicles so whilst I hear and agree with you regarding the W12, it’s not like the new W14 has suddenly got longer vehicles

We'll see how it goes, I could be wrong and it turns out that it will cope quite well with the 100s.

Already been 2 years since Stagecoachs last day on the 248s! Time is actually flying haha 😂 Definitely miss the scanias on it for sure On a separate note will be interesting to see the routes tender in 2026/2027… I feel like it will be very close between Arriva & Stagecoach for the route… ultimately time will tell

I miss the fun doing the Scanias on the 248 along with other RM routes, especially I was doing the 248 religiously in the final few months of Stagecoach operation on the route.

The scanias on it actually held such nice value for me, once all the Tridents & B7s left around 2019-2020, my area was pretty much just left with these scanias & of course the huge allocation of DWs at DX & GY. Scanias leaving certainly felt like an end to something At least the route still uses DWs often which are nice enough on it and I’m enjoying the final months of them in active service at the two garages.
