I miss posts about how bad DXs vehicles look I think we have a new contender elsewhere at GAL RR garage. I have seem some very rough looking 147s with lots of sticky tape the last few days! Reminded me of this spectacle the other day Bringing it back to Arriva, DW322's rear looks like it's had a rough few months

That was undoubtedly one of the most wretched vehicles at TC back in 2017-18 time. You can keep it! No wonder why DW322 has spent nearly a year off the road between Summer 2019 & 2020, but that said it is one of those unloved DW at AR compared to the newer and nicer 400/500 series examples based there.

A few months ππ. More like years. That bus looks like it's been through hell and back. It isnt that bad. It is where a brush paint repair job has been done on the bumper which is not blended with the rest of the bodywork. As it it likely not 2 pack paint it has acquired dirt in it and darkened.

Off-topic but Recently spotted a green coloured van at the sun-in-the-sands roundabout which was really dirty and mucky. Someone had scrawled β I wish my Mrs were this dirtyβ β¦β¦β¦β¦ beats tye βclean meβ I have seen scrawled on a bunch of buses! lol, that ones has been going for 30 odd years or more, but still funny.

A few months ππ. More like years. That bus looks like it's been through hell and back. I don't think it would complete a full run to hell without breaking down The 3 series refurbishment floats do look shabby compared to the likes of DW419 which looks great after refurbishment. I wonder if their sole MMC, EN35 will get some TLC? Heard her sounding rough on the 318 the other day

I had a go on one of those delightful 55 plate VLAs that never quite got to reach its full potential trundling up and down the Brixton Road. Comparing with the VWs that used to work on the 607, there is no performance restriction up to 8mph, the transmission is undoubtedly more aggressive, there are more sounds coming from the engine area and no hydraulic fan. Super healthy too, didn't skip a beat although the rate at which it was drinking up the fuel was somewhat alarming! I won't compare it with the 06 plate WVL I had as it was a completely different driving experience!
Not sure if the kickdown works however - can anyone advise? Sorry about the dizzying picture quality, working on that!

I don't think even painting it would save it. It does look bad π

Let's hope and pray none of those buses literally breaks down whilst in service. That is what you call running on its last legs.

Not a Daily Mail reader but would absolutely read it if you contributed to it
The 474 back in 2014-16 was always an Antiques Roadshow I noticed, it was always like a running day of the cast offs in the Go Ahead fleet!
