My fellow East Londoners on here. Since the electric revolution is underway I've got to ask. How will DX be able to install their electric charging points in the future.
I haven't been around the back to know what it looks like properly. I've only seen it from the side view from the A13 but that has always made me wonder. Take for instance BK (stagecoach I know). As cramped as that garage is they managed to make it work by rearranging the layout.

DX haven't even got smart blinds yet! 😁 joking aside think this garage could be way down the line for upgrading apart from maybe the 325 in 2024 if retained.

God help us 😳!!!!! This decade is going to be interesting to see how many bus garages set their charging ports up.

The network development paper for Barking Riverside showed the proposed EL4 running through a road that's to be built in the industrial area that DX is situated in, should that road be built it'd force a relocation meaning that electrifying the current DX garage may not be the best long term plan. However the road is just proposed, it doesn't mean it's happening for certain and we already know PD is earmarked for redevelopment but is getting chargers for the 180 so who knows. I wouldn't expect Arriva to pass up an opportunity on electrifying the garage as it provides huge benefits.

It is easier to install most of the equipment at garages like this as they are not the usual traditional LT shed with the majority of the garage being a covered building. [DX] has space at the rear open behind the output block. Underneath the output the ENL's are parked as only single deckers could fit underneath that building. The pits (engineering block) over to the next side behind the bus wash is covered. The biggest challenge is not installing the equipment but adding further infrastructure for charge back to grid where the operator can earn back money from displaced electricity.

Does anyone know where the current TC DW refurbishments are taking place? The current 2 have been away for an extended period, even allowing for a 2/3 week shutdown.
This is on the assumption DW302/14 are currently away being refurbished.

Bus and Coach World in Blackburn who are also currently doing the refurbs for AR DW's and the 300 series refurbs at TC using the same fleet number fonts as the refurbed examples at AR.

Thank you ... Maybe one of the other pair has been returned and awaiting re-entry to service. They seem to be busy ... doing slightly better than the company they replaced on that site.

I miss posts about how bad DXs vehicles look I think we have a new contender elsewhere at GAL RR garage. I have seem some very rough looking 147s with lots of sticky tape the last few days! Off-topic but Recently spotted a green coloured van at the sun-in-the-sands roundabout which was really dirty and mucky. Someone had scrawled “I wish my Mrs were this dirty” ………… beats tye “clean me” I have seen scrawled on a bunch of buses!
