It hasn’t been announced but there are number of options available to it - HV’s, LT’s or spare HA’s from BN are all possibilities but nothing set in stone at all. Or if the 78 goes electric, could it receive HA's from there? I would be surprised if Arriva took a risk with new buses for the 78 when the existing ones are fine. Going for it with new when Go Ahead at least may have spare buses around could be a very risky move indeed.

Was wondering if there is any pantograph infrastructure at BN, do correct me if I'm wrong but the EA can be charged by pantograph?

There is no pantograph infrastructure at BN from what I've been told and I've seen for myself that they have chargers on the ground in the tram shed - if your lucky enough to pass by it when it's open on the bus or foot, you'll see them for sure. However, the EA's should have the capability to be charged by a pantograph as they have the equipment on the roof of the buses themselves which makes sense as maybe later on life, they end up at a garage that requires pantograph charging.

Did any of the Mk1 VLWs ever been painted all over red and receive roundala? Not sure what roundala is, I assume you mean roundels. The answer is yes. The majority were repainted all-over red. Some even got repaints again around 2014 and 2015 and gained roundels and LED interior lighting. I remember VLW162 and VLW128 was fully repainted in 2015 with roundels.

Seeing lots of the 318s on white blanks of late... I assume the blinds have jammed?

You put in a bid with new vehicles, and also offer an alternative with existing vehicles. I think a new-vehicle price is usually mandatory on TfL tenders anyway.

Eliminates 1 possibility for the 198. While introducing another, those HVs will need a new home. I always had the HVs as favourites, just strengthens that position.
