I think on paper the 50 is mostly allocated the 11reg at BN, alongside the small batch of 09reg. With the 60reg HVs then forming most of the 133's allocation. Of course this isn't necessarily what will move to TC. I think it was also suggested that the 319 might receive a PVR cut soon. I wonder if this could involve a few EAs being allocated to the 133, rather than keeping a small number of G3s at BN? The 319 only had a pvr increase of +1 on the 28 March? ROUTE 319 MONDAY TO FRIDAY 28 3 2022 ALLOCATION - BRIXTON 19 BUSES (currently 18) REASON FOR CHANGE - REVISED SERVICE The 319 reverted back to the pre covid PVR of 19, so not technically an increase.

It was more a why reduce, then increase back, if as the poster suggested there was a planned reduction. Surely it would have been incorporated into one of these changes? Or am I being far too logical?

Saw EMC8 with yellow handrails It has been refurbished. I wonder if any of the others have also been sent (e.g EMC2 or 13-14, which haven't been used for a while.) I wonder if/when EMC1 will return. I've heard conflicting info that it is being stripped for spares, and other info that it is being repaired. It would be nice to see it return. On another note the demo EMC10 is still around, somewhere, as it is both MOTd and taxed. But I wonder why Arriva didn’t spend money to change the ex-RATP MetroCities handrails to yellow?

It's not the most important thing to do. For instance ex Stagecoach HV161 got refurbished and just had Arriva sest moquette fitted, I don't recall the handrails being changed.

Further strike dates at Arriva London South are May 11th and May 16th. Why does it only affect the south London operations and not the North?

Have to accept the use of pee it seems lol at silenced London North drivers had a accepted the pay deal last year, London South have rejected it and even a better offer than what London North had and still rejected it. What has impacted things further is the growing cost of living, post covid, rising oil prices and war in Ukraine.

It will be a pity if the DWs from route 221 are sold. They could have been bought out by Arriva and used as replacements for older buses elsewhere, such as ex-London Volvo B7TLs in the Newcastle area. This type is more widespread within Arriva than any other major operator.

Given the operations now at N, does the groups assumption that re the 2017 bid for the 196, that Arriva were the company that withdrew their bid due to lack of garage space, now look flawed?

The point was about buying them from the leasing company for further use within Arriva.

I am surprised that N has space for 50 more buses in the garage at the moment, because even before 432 returned to N, there were always buses parked outside the garage at nights often blocking the Norwood Bus Garage bus stop, so maybe there wasn’t assumed to be enough space at the time, even though maybe there was.

I was surprised as well, it looks pretty full as it is to me and as you say buses are always parked on the road outside overnight.
